A few things: 1. I tip my hat to workers such as yourself Southern who drives a truck..critically important and often under appreciated for keeping the supply chain open. Linebacker, same to your wife who puts her health on the line to keep us healthy. 2. If you are elderly or have loved ones who are elderly or recently health impaired such as your Southern's wife who recently underwent surgery, my hope is for your complete safety.3. I feel terrible for all college athletes that had their careers suddenly ended but its the right thing to do. 4. To all of us on this site, stay safe, supplied and consider those around you and be kind. 5. Last, is it possible to quarantine Jake from State Farm?....geeeesh.
I've chosen not to participate in the Corona Virus panic. I got the flu shot as usual. I plan on continuing eating healthy, working out and getting plenty of rest. Maybe buy some stocks and mutual funds on the dip and convert some IRA money to Roth IRA money. Sitting back and do some good home cooking.
I feel bad for the senior athletes who cannot compete in their last year. Especially since Corona Virus doesn't seem to effect young people. It really doesn't make much sense to me. I feel they should decide if they want to compete or not. Same with the fans. If they want to go watch let them go. Why are we letting the system decide what we can and cannot do? Seems like there are a lot of sheep out there. I'm not one of them. I prefer to be a Lion. (or ex Lion)
Yes, that's a brilliant idea. Keep it open for the athletes and fans that feel it's ok to play and watch.
Italy has an aging population so their numbers will be worse plus I’m only going on what our experts say what to do here. Whatever our doctors say do I will do even if it changes daily. I listen to the experts in these situations.
Good, because the experts are acting on numbers from Italy. Worst case scenario, that's why we have a ton of closings, social distancing, etc.
There's a reason the main expert, Dr. Fauchi, is saying it will get worse before it gets better... The man has integrity, he doesn't care what Trump says or does he just gives us his expert opinion.

Think about this:
1. "Especially since Corona Virus doesn't seem to effect young people." False, young people can get it just like anyone else. They simply aren't at risk of dying from it as much as elderly. However, they can spread it to anyone without even having symptoms.
2. Social distancing isn't as much about keeping 20 year olds safe, as it is about keeping those at risk populations safe and the spread rate down. Again, just because you are 20 doesn't mean you can't carry the virus and spread it.
3. Large crowds and events is how the virus would spread FAST, which is exactly why we are shutting things down. It isn't about stopping the spread, but limiting it's rate.
4. If the virus spreads super fast, which it would because of large crowds and events, hospitals and health centers would be overrun and not able to treat people. PEOPLE WOULD DIE BECAUSE THEY COULDN'T GET THE CARE THEY NEED. If you limit the rate of the spread, those getting the virus are spread out over time and will have better access to healthcare when they need it. We have a finite amount of materials to treat people, and the shut down is more about spreading treatment out over time rather than a ton of people getting sick all at once.
So no, this isn't only about elderly or the at risk population. It's about EVERYONE doing there part to keep people safe and help hospitals and care centers stay available and not be overrun.
if the experts in this virus change the way they want us to live a change with whatever they say. I adapt to whatever the experts say. I agree with you roam I’m a truck driver not a doctor or an expert on viruses I do whatever they say do. Lol

Basically whatever my wife tells me to do, I'm doing.
She's the head of trauma and ICU Critical Care, so I'm very lucky to have her perspective and advice... especially now!
Don’t hesitate to pass on some useful information now Roam lol

Dr. Fauchi is the man, listen to him and you'll be good.
My wife is not a doc or nurse and I still do what she tells me to do! When said " I Do" I had no clue what that really meant! LOL
Appreciate what your better half is doing for us!

Thanks! What's making us nervous is our little one. Mom is at the hospital treating people during the day and comes home...
