Nice article on the weight lifting in the Centre Daily Times if you can get it. Of note Brown:
According to Galt, the rising redshirt junior can now bench 395 pounds and squat about 500 pounds — which is pretty rare, considering he weighs in at 211. Plus, Brown had already beaten out Saquon Barkley’s old 40-yard mark; Brown now leads the running backs with a time of 4.29 seconds, better than Barkley’s 4.33.

Nice article. I think we'll be ok at the RB position this fall. Still wish Slade would have stayed and moved into the slot vs. the portal.
The podcast reporter predicted Brown would be a first round draft choice next year with huge numbers. He's just getting that from what he's been hearing on campus. Totally possible after what we saw at the bowl game. Articles like this get me fired up for next season.
I was a little impatient with him last year early in the season I just didn’t think he was hitting the holes but after he got his feet wet he came on strong and after a season under his belt I’m hoping for some LJ to come out in him lol
What’s happening Hawaii? We gettin a ton of rain over here in Atlanta brother. My wife had surgery so I’ve been off with her for almost 2 weeks now and it’s pretty much rained every day. My septic tank is going to float away lol. BTW I can see who’s checking in on my phone lol

Hey Southern, I was right about the talent of my hometown boy Journey. I think too many of the PSU faithful looked at the 3* and no major offers and thought what a waste of scholly. Even many on here maybe with the exception of lakerie, who is in the high school playing vicinity (and probably billmurray too), probably had doubts about his talent and potential. After all, we had just recruited and were spoiled with mega talents Saquon and Miles so who is really going to be a believer in a 3* no name from a small town. Anyway, let's just hope he can expand on it with a monster season this year. Oh and as far as being impatient last year, I just think you were so enamored with Noah Cain that you didn't want to notice any of the other backs. Also which back could have really got his feet wet and taken control as the "front runner" at first when they were being rotated practically every series. The running back room right now is loaded with talent and one could argue possibly the best overall in the country.

All good In Hawaii Southern, I can't complain about the weather here. You must have mental telepathy cause I was in the middle of typing you a reply. I certainly hope your wife is doing ok. Anchor that septic down, I don't think anyone wants to see septic tanks floating in their yard.
oh ya, here in District 10 never understand why he wasn’t getting looked at especially with the eye popping numbers he was putting up. Always glad to see the local boys do well.

Absolutely lake. Obviously I'm excited and proud to have a standout Meadville product on the national stage especially at Penn State. Your C. Prep has always been the standard of excellent athletes in the area through the years...at least when was I growing up.
2000 yrds would be nice, but he's going to have to avg 15 yrds/carry if we keep last yrs RB rotation thing going.

Hope your wife's surgery went well, Southern. I'll say a prayer for a speedy recovery. I know what it's like. My wife went through 3 major surgeries in the past year!
thanks Mr Bob she’s doing great just dealing with a little pain but everything went as good as we hoped for. The doctors done a great job with her. It’s amazing how good the doctors are we have in this country and I’m one who does appreciate it. Thanks again buddy!
i see a 2 headed monster this year at RB and that will give Clifford time to do his thing. Don’t be surprised if this ain’t a better offense than 2016.
Yes Sir, I will be disappointed if the offense doesn't put up big numbers this year.
Huh, I'd have thought your wife would classify you as a "big pain". All kidding aside, we all wish her well.

I'm very excited to see what Clifford does. We didn't know until after the season that he was dealing with some sort of injury through the second half of the season last year, and now he has a full season of experience under his belt.
Also, the new coordinator is... by most accounts from every QB he's worked with... a VERY good QB coach.
