After hearing a few things today we might need to bring Switzer in as a football consultant. I know We gotta give the man a chance but if both our QB’s had injuries and the backup QB right now might not be ready when the season starts and we let Grunk walk that’s a big fudge up on MC. Penn St has to put more emphasis on winning and ain’t nobody better at doing that than the great Barry Switzer even at the age of 88 the man still loves to win and he will do anything to win “I’m a football coach not a babysitter”😂 between hearing this shit and the shit show James Franklin had going on with DA I just don’t believe we’re putting enough emphasis on winning in football. I bout shit in my pants when I heard the backup QB might not be ready when the season starts. Just win baby…means just that. I was all for letting Grunk walk if the 2 QB’s we were getting was ready to play and we missed on the QB we were after on top of all this. In football tough decisions have to be made and Terry smith is a perfect example. Terry did good but if he would’ve fired Jim Knowles we would’ve beat Iowa and Indiana and looking at it today MC should’ve left the QB’s at Iowa St and kept a healthy Grunkemeyer. Yes I’ve changed my mind and if our QB’s are ready when the season starts I’ll change it again. When 2 QB’s are hurt this bad you don’t take a chance imo. I’m not down on MC I’m just disappointed about hearing the QB situation. I gotta give the man a chance though.
I wouldn't want Switzer anywhere near Penn State. Have you seen 2027 class rankings? Campbell went. From 0 recruits to # 6 team. No matter who the coach is this year was going to be a rebuilding year.
@cohappy we ain’t rebuilding this year cohappy. We brought in some very good football players from Iowa St players most teams out there would kill for. MC has combined 2 teams with a lot of studs. MC is in great shape as long as we have a healthy good QB and we had one with Grunkemeyer. I wouldn’t have taken a chance and kept Grunk but I was ok knowing we were getting an experienced QB and a very good backup but what good is having 2 QB’s if they can’t play. I’m hoping the dude on locked on PSU is wrong. IMO we’re not rebuilding we actually reloaded.
