Congratulations to all B1G teams and thank you for giving us a season that was originally canceled. All teams experienced some sort of challenges and I truly feel sorry for all seniors that it ended up this way. Franklin made a smart choice by opting out of bowl game. Let's support OSU and keep it in the B1G ! Bring it home baby!
I ain’t going to support Ohio St they can stick it where the sun don’t shine as far as I’m concerned! It’s Alabama for me ole slick Nick got knocked down 2 times and the old man got back up and went right back at it baby!
"Let's root for the Buckeyes" said no PSU fan ever.
I can't root for a team that is our competitor in all sports but mostly football. Their continued success will allow them to out recruit and influence top transfer portal kids. OSU is a freight train right now so by wishing them success is the same as wishing Penn State failure.
I see where USC opted out of the bowls as well. I wonder how many bowls, minor and major, will opt out this year. On a lighter note I'm still hoping for a bowl game named after mayonnaise.
CA is a mess! PA is not too far behind if things don't change soon. I haven't heard of too many stories on athletes ( 25 and under range) that were hit hard with COVID, but I know there are some out there. The biggest thing is THAT age group are super spreaders and will be getting the vaccine long before me. I am fairly certain my daughter had a good dose of it back in March....checked every box and then some but was never tested. 27, a very competitive 1/2 marathon runner and was down for the count for 14 days. She loves running and doesn't miss too many opportunities to compete. BUT, she placed 3rd in the Baltimore full marathon and then this year hey had a virtual 1/2 and she did not participate. Her point was, no crowd, no hype leading up to it and i couldn't really come see her compete. I think this is probably what the players considered last night when making their decisions....as well as USC.
Penn State has NOW let us hanging on a limb - wondering - if the last 4 games was merely beating up on some really bad teams. Or, maybe they are on the verge of being really good. They definitely didn't throw the towel in after week 5 and they definitely looked better the last 4 weeks....and I am talking about execution and adjusting during game time. Hey, I am a big critique on Pry and I have to hand it to him after the first quarter was over last night. He made some changes and they shut Illinois down. The kids had fun, dancing and shuffling on the sidelines and so WHY NOT call it the year and start fresh in the Spring. Clifford looked a lot more comfortable, stopped trying to win the games himself and the offense looked much better.....although he has to stop turning THAT ball over.
Have a great holiday LAKE!!
