1) Roberson was ill prepared for Iowa and the big stage.

2) I understand that with the new NCAA rules to protect players it is hard to get the contact time to prepare your backup, OK I'll buy that to some degree

3) JF tells us the 2nd and 3rd string QB are competing for the position... YADA, YADA.

4) Two days before game, we see Clifford practicing and it looks possible but everyone is thinking IL, surely we can beat them with a 3* backup with 2 weeks prep.  Vegas agrees.  They know PJ is out is out.

5) Hours before the game we hear Clifford will start.

6) By the second quarter we realize he is suffering.

7) In an effort to eclipse Auburns SEC Officiating crew the B10 officials start reviewing plays in their head.  I meant to blow that dead for forward progress even though the QB was looking for a receiver or to thro the ball away.  And yea he was hit and fumbled a significant amount of time after I meant to blow the play dead for forward progress.  But we will let it play out.  Oh PSU got the ball and the TD and I'm still looking for that darn whistle.  Well I'll give the ball back to IL and PSU should feel lucky I don't call them for roughing the QB after I meant to blow my whistle.  Where is that darn thing?  And my Flag.  Later on, since I didn't call PSU for roughing the QB in the first quarter I'm not going to call IL for that cheep shot on Clifford.

8) In the two weeks since Roberson 'played' a half against Iowa we apparently didn't develop 8 plays he might execute with the first string.  Zero plays.  We will split Clifford out wide and Wildcat the TE but NOTHING for Roberson.

10) The backup to a bad IL QB threw the game winner

11) Vegas was way wrong about our whole darn offense.  I wouldn't have given 20 points but man I expected to win.

Editorially I think a Mauti, Hackenburg, BOB OL plays with this IL Team,  They played over their heads.  This bunch today not so much?
