I think you are spot on about that Sky. After watching Iowa play last week, my feeling is that they are about equal in talent. We have the home field advantage but to use an overused expression it will be about the team that is ready and wants it more.

How can  they possibly be equal in talent? How many top twenty recruiting classes have they had in the last four years?

I said it was my feeling but in my tv room Iowa looked really good especially their offensive line. They did squash a mediocre Maryland team but that mediocre Maryland team beat a #6 Texas team. Penn State on the other hand mightily struggled against a very so-so Indiana team so ya, regardless of top 20 recruiting classes of years ago vs, how they’ve developed to this point...pretty dam equal. I hope I’m wrong though.

Interesting point there .... does a 4* Athlete with 5 games experience rank higher then a 3* with over 20 starts??  So many ways of accessing talent!
