I think I remember Murray telling everybody not get your hopes up lol. Some schools just struggle to win at certain sports and for penn st it’s basketball? Basketball and baseball I’m usually big on Ga Tech but we haven’t been that good in a pretty long time. When I started dating my wife back in 1992 she knew I was a huge penn st fan during football season but when basketball season come around I was pulling for Ga Tech and she said I thought you were a penn st fan and I said I am but they don’t have a basketball team or baseball team so I pull for Ga Tech in them 2 sports lol. Really until the last 6 or 7 years I’ve never seen penn st basketball on tv and I’ve never seen the baseball team on tv. I did pull for the women’s basketball because I seen them on tv back in the 90’s because they were always pretty good. Hopefully they’ll get ‘em a coach but as of now I just don’t see it. 

There’s a reason they’ve been average or bad all these years....the people in charge just don’t care?

Essentially top basketball programs deal with the unscrupulous AAU folks that market their academically deficient players for significant sums of money. Penn State has and never will engage in that garbage.

I'm sick of hearing the excuse that everyone else who has success cheats. It's old. Either go out and pay an established coach or just find some lackey to go 5-25 every year. Why pay a coach any substantial money to be average and win the NIT once in a while. It's a waste of money, either try to be the best you can be or stop kidding yourself.
