yes you’re missing something NYC and Chicago are bloody streets and they have very tough gun laws and we have more freedom than all the other countries Bill Gates talked about that today in a article I was reading. Like I told you a few days ago Bill gates said because we have more freedom is why the coronavirus is worse here plus we test more and we don’t lie about the numbers. It hard to compare us to other countries.

The big myth that NYC and Chicago have strict gun laws. No they don't, because you can easily get a gun and bring it back to the city.. They don't check their borders like countries in Europe. The cities have no control over guns, the are at the mercy of other states like South Carolina where people drive down I-95 and just bring back guns from there. It's why I-95 is called the Iron Corridor .. for that exact reason.

That is why people are calling for national gun laws. EXACTLY WHY. Because no one can control guns if other states are lax in their laws.

Law abiding citizens can purchase and own a gun now. What’s stopping them? The fact of the matter is a large portion of Americans don’t own a gun because they don’t want to, not because they can’t. Furthermore, as I’ve said in the past, as a lifelong hunter and owner of guns, I don’t have any issue with stricter gun purchasing guidelines and any other law abiding citizen shouldn’t have an issue with it either. If it prevents tragedies like Sandy Hook or Las Vegas, wouldn’t it be a positive?

Also, Southern, something to think about. You have stated that you think every American should have a gun. Has it ever occurred to you that every single protestor or rioter you despise so much would be in the streets with their guns under your scenerio? How do you think that would turn out? Again, as I said in the past, I know plenty of people that shouldn’t have access to weapons and if you tell me you don’t, I call BS.

i don’t despise protesters it’s riots and terrorist I despise. We’ve got enough gun laws already. I’ve got 2 9mm I think I have enough guns to protect myself today but that could change down the road and if I was to need a gun that does more damage I want to be able to get one. It’s not the Chuck Schumer’s I’m worried about with gun laws it’s the Squad members I’m worried about with what gun laws they want and since they are the future of the democrat party from what I see I don’t want any more gun laws I’m not convinced they won’t come after my 2 9mm because I honestly believe they will one day down the road because that’s what happens,  just look at socialist countries. Ole southern always thinks what could happen down the road.

BTW I believe most democrats and republicans think the same way I think it’s the minority of the democrats that scares me and for some reason the minorities that have the louder voices and they’re the ones that usually get their way and it is the minority in the democrat party that does want our guns and trust me they want the guns. You give an inch they’ll want 2 inches that’s just how they work see I love guys like Trump and Chuck that don’t give an inch because they both understand what giving an inch will lead to.

"The squad" is not the future. They are 4 people, and AOC has twitter followers. She's got nothing done in Congress to speak of, just all talk or rhetoric. I liken her and the squad to the tea party movement in 2010. They talked a big game about lowering spending, but nothing came of it and all they did was obstruct.

Just saying... The Democrats had a few candidates that did say they wanted to take guns. They all lost badly and never had polling numbers that showed anyone cared about them. As you say they make a lot of noise, but in the end the most centrist candidate on the stage won by a lot.

@roaminglion you are correct except it is called the iron pipeline which utilizes the I-95 corridor for the transportation of the weapons for "illegal" distribution.

Violent criminals will always find a way to get a gun but if I’m reading this right is it causing usually law abiding citizens to break the law with this I-95 thing? IMO if the government would keep violent criminals in jail and actually force all the laws we have on the book  crime would go down especially gun crimes. Thank goodness Trump is gettin some prison reform done because my brother got out of prison in February and was finally able to get a  job yesterday he finally found somebody to give him a chance. I understand he made his bed now he has to lay in it but if somebody does their time they need to be able to get a job when they get out because if not they’ll go back to the streets and do the same crap they was doing to go to prison. I had my brothers inheritance put back for him but some people ain’t got anything or anybody when they get out and they really ain’t got a fighting chance I know they did whatever to themselves but we have to have a heart to help people.

I'm so sick and tired of this nonsense that criminals will always find ways... Why have any damn laws in the first place then, since criminals will just "do it anyway". It's such a pathetic excuse to do nothing.

Roam, it don’t matter what you are sick of or what I’m sick of the fact is criminals will find a way to get guns and if you don’t believe me look at all the criminals that have guns from the black market the same thing as the I-95 thing you and navylion are talking about. Do you honestly believe criminals don’t find a way to get a gun?

BTW roam, I’m not saying not have any gun laws, I’m saying  let’s just enforce the laws we already have and don’t add anymore gun laws. IMO gun laws only hurt law abiding citizens but if they enforce the ones we already have I can live with that.

Man they got that piece of garbage that shot and killed them 2 people last night. Even though I disagree with these scumbags rioting and destroying property doesn’t give this punk an excuse to take law into his own hands. Now had these rioters been threatening him at his home then so be it but that’s not the case here. The cops got his butt thank GOD for these good cops!

No, you are saying lets keep the unenforceable laws we currently have because criminals will get them no matter what.

You completely missed the point of what anyone just said or are just willfully ignoring it. The reason it is easy to get guns is because it isn't possible for many cities to enforce their gun laws because states like Georgia and SC have completely feckless laws. National laws are needed to be uniformly enforced no matter what state you are in. This isn't rocket science, it isn't a hard concept to grasp.

It's just beyond me how people can see that other countries have much less violent crime than we do, have much stricter guns laws, yet continue to argue that somehow more guns will solve our problem.

im not missing the point because if I had my way about it there would be no gun laws but I don’t mind having the laws we have now because they’re already there I don’t trust the democrats or republicans that wants more gun laws but you do, I understand completely we just disagree on having gun laws. I don’t trust ‘em roam you give an inch and they’ll want another inch.

No gun laws? My lord even during the time of the founding fathers we had stricter gun policies than we do now. I just can't fathom how anyone would think allowing mentally ill people to just go out and buy a gun would be a good idea. That's what you are saying you would do if you had your way. No thanks, I'd rather the USA not be the wild west.

the Wild West is better living under  dictators and communism roam we might need as many guns as we can get one day plus this ain’t the Wild West unless you live in Portland, Chicago, Seattle, Minneapolis and NYC. Do you really want gun control living in that crap when the politicians won’t stop the rioting and let these terrorist punks run wild? Think about that for a minute

If you believe some stricter gun laws, which most developed democracies in the world have, is going to lead to communism then there is no talking with you.

We have more guns then other countries, and more problems... but somehow that equates to we need more guns. 🤦‍♂️

china, Cuba and Venezuela is enough reason for me to think we need guns and need a lot of ‘em considering we have 325 million people in this country. I know China has 2 billion but look at ‘em they can’t fight back and when the Chinese people get out of line they line ‘em up and shoot them or put ‘em in torture camps I’m sorry I ain’t going to take a chance for that to happen here I’ll take my chances with having to many guns. The other places you speak of of having less problems only have less problems because of our military because before our military come a long tyrants and dictators run everything.

Now you know I’ve said for home use only when I say everybody should have a gun that doesn’t mean I want everybody carrying a gun out in public. Convicted violent felons like my brother shouldn’t be able to carry but he should be able to protect his home which right now he’s not able to do but he’s brought that on himself because of the stupid laws we have today but hey it’s the law.

We have never been nor will ever be anything like China. Gun laws won't change that. Also, people really love to give examples of countries that aren't like the USA as some sort of proof that things will go bad if we make stricter gun laws. What's funny is they never point at the countries actually like us that do have gun laws that work.

"Now you know I’ve said for home use only when I say everybody should have a gun that doesn’t mean I want everybody carrying a gun out in public." - No you didn't, you said you wanted everyone to have a gun and I quote: "no gun laws". Not sure how you can say you want no gun laws, but then also say you only want guns for home use. Pick one, you can't have both. No gun law = you can't make a law banning your brother from having a gun. It's kinda what "no gun laws" means.

This has probably got to be one of the most circular logic bombs I've every read...

"The other places you speak of of having less problems only have less problems because of our military because before our military come a long tyrants and dictators run everything."

What does our military have to do with gun laws in other countries? So you've actually concocted an argument that other countries don't need guns because of our military, but OUR OWN CITIZENS need guns to protect themselves AGAINST OUR OWN MILITARY should be become Communists? wtf? WTF??? I mean... really W.T.F.
