What’s going on out there with antifa and patriot prayer? What are they protesting now? The article I’m reading tells about the protests but don’t say why they are protesting. I’m gettin tired of all these protests because they are starting riots. I’m all for peaceful protests but when people show up with baseball bats and cover their faces it ain’t going to be peaceful. If you don’t know that’s fine it’s no big deal just stay safe and stay out of the way brother.

@lakerie

I wasn’t talking politics I just wanted to know what’s up with the protests. I thought politics was Democrats and Republicans but I see what you’re saying you can make politics out of anything. I was thinking  arguing about Democrats and Republicans is what causes problems.

I agree with you Southern, some folks need to get a grip.

I believe you are talking about Portland? I live 1 1/2 south near Corvallis, so luckily we don't really deal with that down here.

As for Portland... it's a political flashpoint because it is a very liberal city, yet Oregon is actually mostly red on the map. So you get an interesting mix and more polarized politics there. Though it is getting a bit out of hand.

We have season tickets to the MLS team here, and they just banned the Antifa flags from flying in the stadium because they have been causing so much trouble. Hopefully people can calm down

Probably should have done that from the get go. Southern was asking a honest simple question and you wrongly pre-judged his intent. Instead of making a smart ass statement like “muzzling yourself out of respect for Cave”, maybe an apology to SPF Would be more appropriate.

Correct me if I'm wrong Lake, but isn't the "water cooler" page designed for anything, other than PSU Football??

A few things:

I’ve been away a few days on a super secret mission called Extreme Grandson Babysitting. Watching a 5 month old 24 hours a day for 5 days is exhausting especially when you are over 60...feed, play, change diaper, sleep...repeat every 3 hours.

SPF..to you an apology is definitely in order so please accept mine to you. I view you as a guy that beer would taste even better if given the opportunity to throw down a few. You are one very cool dude and thanks for the nudge navylion.

Dimpled Chin...you are correct that the water cooler is a safe place to discuss topics other than football. That said, if you read Cave’s header, he specifically mentions no politics. My reaction to SPF’s original post was not to display feelings left, right or the middle, but to be careful not tread in the political arena. Any conversation that includes Antifa is definitely political in nature.

So back to this most excellent forum and here is cyber beer for everyone 🍻 🍻 🍻.

It’s all good brother and I understand where you’re coming from because I have talked politics before. Thank JESUS the season starts next week because I get into trouble when I talk about other topics than college football lol.

Who are y’all pulling for tonight Florida or Miami? I’m pulling for Miami because my dad being a dawg fan hated Florida and my brother is a Cain fan. Personally I don’t like either team lol

Being I live in Jacksonville amongst the obnoxious Gator fans, I have to root for the Canes just so I don't have to listen to them run their mouths Monday morning. I work in an office with 4 young engineers that are UF grads last thing I want is to have to listen to them running their mouths and chanting "Proud to be a Florida Gator!" SMH!!!
