LMAO ” I’ll never read or respond to your posts again”
Broken promises just like his hero senile old Joe Biden.
OK, A$$hat, you call it a broken promise, I call it a change of mind. Maybe some day you will get over it. I would have bet money that you would respond just the way you did. If you are going to be a troll, you need to be a bit more creative.
Biden is not my hero. I do not idolize Biden. I find it very difficult to like any politician. He is however much much better than the want to be dictator trump. I do dislike the magat fools for what they consider important. Making sure that people can afford food and lodging is unimportant to them but changing sex, using the wrong bathrooms, ... is of major importance.
I honestly hate both parties and our stupid effing election system. It's antiquatrd and idiotic in a modern society. Other countries had electoral college voting and got rid of it. It's just a piss poor way to choose a President.
We are stuck with these two geriatric clowns because of it.
@roaminglion the Republicans have thrown everybody they’ve had even DeSantis and can’t nobody beat Trump and Joe also won. Nothing wrong with the system we get who we vote for. Who do you want that Joe or Trump hasn’t beat that wants to be president? We got the best system in the world. Nikki will go down next.
Yeah, there is plenty wrong with the system. That's a ridiculous argument.@roaminglion the Republicans have thrown everybody they’ve had even DeSantis and can’t nobody beat Trump and Joe also won. Nothing wrong with the system we get who we vote for. Who do you want that Joe or Trump hasn’t beat that wants to be president? We got the best system in the world. Nikki will go down next.
I heard your boy Trump call out Niki Haley's husband for not being on the campaign trail with her. He's deployed, what a jerk off. Trump doesnt give two chits about the military, look at him using her husband's deployment to attack her.
What a POS
@roaminglion I’m talking about how we elect our president it’s the best system in the world and we got the best country in the world but that doesn’t mean you’re going to always get what you want. Just look around we live pretty good lives if you get out and work for it but we also get what we vote for in some cases. The system is awesome because politicians can’t just do what they want it’s like pulling teeth to get anything done and it was set up to be that way. I love it!
It may be ONE of the best systems in the world, but when one party in several states is attempting to pass legislation that would allow the state government to overturn the election results, it changes things dramatically. We might need to get a trustworthy foreign country to oversee our elections sort of like how the US used to oversee other countries election.
@psugrad81 we live in the Atlanta area and we both see what’s going on with the DA in Atlanta in charge of the Trump case. Ya’ll ain’t heard me complain about it because I know it’s political and Trump is a big boy he can handle it. I don’t know what the truth is anymore from the media so I let things play out and see what happens. The country is divided in politics and it’s pretty much always been divided but imo that’s a good things. I might pay a little more for gas and other things when democrats are in charge but other than that ole southerns life doesn’t change regardless who the president is that’s why I pull for whoever is in charge I never pull against the USA.
No it's not the best system in the world, it's one of the worst. As I said, other countries had this stupid system AND GOT RID OF IT. Just because we use it doesnt make it automatically great. Our system of electing the President is idiotic.@roaminglion I’m talking about how we elect our president it’s the best system in the world and we got the best country in the world but that doesn’t mean you’re going to always get what you want. Just look around we live pretty good lives if you get out and work for it but we also get what we vote for in some cases. I also noticed you steered clear of saying anything about your boy calling out a deployed husband for not being with his wife on the campaign trail. Yet another example of how Trump really doesnt respect anything or anyone, the military included. Her husband is deployed and serving his country, something Trump got out of with the BS excuse of bone spurs.
Please, this guy is a complete fraud.
@roaminglion The system is the best and it’s worked that’s why we have the best country in the world. The USA is number 1 and it’s not even debatable we have people walking thousands of miles and trying to get here even risking death and the reason I steered away from the Nikki thing is because you said that’s what you heard so I’m assuming you didn’t hear it you just was taking somebody else word. It’s politics Roam if they can’t take the heat stay out of the kitchen, it can be a dirty slimy industry and it didn’t start with Trump it’s been that way Trump just fights back harder.
He said it at a rally for everyone to see, its not some rumor I just heard 2nd hand.@roaminglion The system is the best and it’s worked that’s why we have the best country in the world. Honestly, "it's just politics" is part of what's wrong with this country, what an effing stupid sentiment.
It's just politics to disrespect a man deployed serving his country? To mock a man sacrificing time with his family for this country? Really? You think that's just politics? Just. Damn... that's sad. The only reason it' "just politics" to mock veterans and servicemen is because people let guys like Trump get away with it
What is great about the electoral college? Tell me, dont give vague generalities about it being part of "the best country" therefore it's great! That is nonsense. Other countries had it too, and got rid of it. What, were they "great" and then just said well eff it we want to suck? Lmao@roaminglion The system is the best and it’s worked that’s why we have the best country in the world. Tell me specifics, what is good about it
@roaminglion imo it gives every state a say in who the president is going to be. Every state matter. Sometimes your candidate wins and sometimes they don’t. I don’t know anything else about other countries process but if they did away with how we do it that’s probably why they keep falling behind. Europe, Middle East, Asia, Africa and South America are way behind us and you know it. Our system is what has kept us from being ruled by dictators too. As I said, I love the system I just don’t get upset if my candidate loses like some do. It’s definitely California and NY from controlling everything.
That is all garbage, the way we pick Presidents has nothing to do with "why we don't have dictators". Also... falling behind? In what? Education? Nope, we are falling behind Europe. Economy? Nope, Europe has been catching up and so has China. So what exactly are they falling behind in? Crime? Nope. What?@roaminglion imo it gives every state a say in who the president is going to be. Every state matter. Sometimes your candidate wins and sometimes they don’t. "Every state matters"? Gee, and here I thought politicians and voters always say every VOTE matters. So why exactly do some people's votes count more than others when picking the President? Why does some schmuck in Wyoming have more say and power in his vote than some lady in Texas? Because he lives in Wyoming??
And do not say "to balance big states and small states", because that is absolutly wrong. It was not set up to do that, at all. Congress is what balances small and large states. House and the Senate. The electoral college WAS NOT put in place to do that. It's nonsense devoid of any historical evidence
So again, stop talking in vague "America good every else bad" nonsense. Tell me what you think is so great about the system, dont just regurgitate "it's the best" without showing you actually understand why.
Lastly... if the electoral college is soooooo great, riddle me this: Why dont states use it for their elections? Huh? If it's so awesome, how come not 1 state in all 50 uses it for Senators or any other positions? Maybe because they all know is effing sucks.
@roaminglion education and everything else you just went on a rant about ain’t what you asked me. You asked me why is our system better than every others country and I told you because every state has a say. I don’t see a whole lot of people trying to leave and I see a shit pot full trying to get here. We live the best lives in the world in the USA and there’s a reason why. You’re just upset because whoever you want as president can’t win. President Biden and former president Trump are the 2 men that will be fighting to be president if you don’t like it then don’t vote. Pretty much All other places have had dictatorship except us so there’s that and our system has kept that from happening.
I hear every time we get a knew president all the crybabies saying they’re going to leave this country if so and so becomes president and they never do it’s just a bunch of hypocrite crybabies mad because their guy lost. It’s just a few but they have loud voices. Give me a break 😂🇺🇸 our president has term limits and that’s part of our system.
"You’re just upset because whoever you want as president can’t win" - Funny, the guy I've voted for has won many times before so that's a BS statement. What else you got?@roaminglion education and everything else you just went on a rant about ain’t what you asked me. You basically just mentioned a bunch of stuff that has nothing to do with how we pick a President, just give it a rest you don't know why or how this system works. I've asked you three times why one voter in Wyoming should have more of a say that a voter in Texas, and you just keep saying the same old stuff without answering it. All you do is say "America is the best so everything we do must be the best too by default"
Even George Washington warned against political parties and the system we had set up. Many of the founding fathers hated it too, but it was a necessary evil at the time. But hey, what would they know about it?
Advantages of the Electoral College
The electoral college has a number of pros and cons, depending on where you fall on the political spectrum. While it prevents an easy-to-understand election that would draw from a popular vote, it was originally enacted to give every state its fair say in who gets elected to the highest office in the country. Here are the most relevant benefits:
I just looked up what the benefits of it is and this is what I found. It’s pretty much what I thought I said. It helps give every state a say in who our president is going to be. You got 2 states like NY and California that would control everything if not for the electoral college. That article won’t be hard for you to find you’re better at this stuff than I am. The system we have gives everybody a chance not just the rich. Go outside and look around….only in America 🇺🇸

Can you explain how states control Presidents? That's just a ridiculous statement. Not to mention the fact that states have nothing to do with a President, he runs the executive branch of the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT. He doesn't have to listen to states at all. He represents the population of the country, a popular vote wouldn't change that at all. Also, there are tons of Republicans in California, you act like if you live in California somehow people there would be able to control who becomes President, which is absolute garbage. Nonsense.
Also, did you read the rest of the article you posted? Here's the "advantages" they put:
- It Keeps Smaller States Relevant in National Politics - No, it doesn't! No one cares about Wyoming or North Dakota during election season. What it does do is makes SWING STATES get way more attention than other states. Basically the only states anyone cares about are swing states. They get most of the campaign stops. The article even later admits: "The electoral college means that swing states – which aren’t necessarily the most representative of the country as a whole – get most of the attention."
- It Provides a Clean, Widely Accepted Ending to the Election (Most of the Time) - "Most of the time" LMAO Wow! This is no different from popular votes.
- It Makes it Easier for Candidates to Campaign - Yes, because they only care about swing states.
Here is what it put for "disadvantages" of the Electoral College:
- It Can Make People Feel Like Their Votes Don’t Matter - I mean, this is kind of important isn't it? Wouldn't you want citizens to feel like their vote actually matters?
- It Gives Too Much Power to Swing States - As I said before, STUPID SYSTEM. 8 states or less get all the attention
- It Can Clash With the Popular Vote - I mean, who cares if the majority of citizens in your country actually voted for someone else right? The shouldn't have picked Texas or California as a place to live so we value their votes less.
- There Remains the Possibility of “Rogue Electors” - Because it's just awesome to have a system where people in your own state vote for someone, then an elector can just say "I don't care" and vote for the other guy. Yes, that happens.
Your own article made a case for why the Electoral College sucks. The benefits were basically "it keeps small states relevant", yet it completely dismisses that when it admits swing states get all the attention... not small states. The other "benefits" have nothing to do with voters, just "hey it's easy to campaign because you can just concentrate on a few places" Whoo hoo!
Then it goes on to say the disadvantages are voter confidence/enthusiasm for the system, too much power is given to a small group, and it's possible that people could throw out the citizen's votes and just choose someone else. WTF? That's horrendous.
