If you take a trip to South Carolina, be careful not to do anything stupid! LOL

I heard about that this morning on the news. These inmates better be glad I’m not in charge because they wouldn’t get a choice it would be the firing squad lol just kidding lol. Hey Roam, how  nice is the beaches and the ocean out there in Oregon?I’ve never been there but I heard they’re really nice. You just don’t hear about doing vacation in Oregon unless it’s going to Portland. We love the ocean and love seeing different places but we usually go to the Caribbean but with the pandemic and some of the states needing tourists money we kind of want to travel the states. I got a week in Panama City and a week in Mexico beach planned in June and July and man I’m ready to go and get me some good seafood 🦞. There’s a few people on my wife’s side of the family that has house on both beaches so we usually go down every year with my mother and father-in-law to do something with them we always have a great time.

The beaches are very nice, but it's a bit more rocky terrain. If you have ever seen the movie Goonies, the scenes of the coastline are what it is. Also, don't go in the Ocean because it is COLD! The current comes down from Alaska so the water is a lot colder than California where the current comes from the south.

That said, there's really nice wine country here... the best for Pinot Noir. Huge craft beer scene, and cider as well. Also, Crater Lake is a must see... beautiful. Lots more here than Portland, however Portland is very nice as well. Not nearly as crazy as the news depicts, but there are some issues downtown. Every city has those though

My wife loves wine and I love cold 🍺 and we both love the ocean and lake. I don’t get to deep in the ocean because of sharks if a shark bites ole southern I want to be able to get out with less bite injuries as possible lol. I took a picture of your post when we decide to get out there I’ll have some great information. It will probably be next year because we want to take 2 weeks and spend out there. Fly out there and rent a car so we can see different parts of the west coast. I’m hoping that lake is driving distance to the ocean that way we can spend a few days there. My wife has been jumping up and down about coming out there because of the wine country she’s loves that stuff. I’ve always been a Caribbean man but I’m looking forward to seeing the west coast. I’m going to be a pop this November so it might be possible we have the whole family my daughter and daughter-in-law are dying to come out there. We got another Penn State fan on the way roam 😁

Best time to come out here is late May through early September. I remember when I first moved here I said to my neighbor "why does everyone have built in sprinklers, it rains all the time here"... I found out that yes, it's overcast and raining a lot most of the year, but the summers here are gorgeous and mostly blue skies. Probably about 4 hours from the coast.
