It was cold and snowy this morning. (How cold was it?) So cold that the herons walked around the pond bank before deciding to get their feet wet....not that I blame them.
I know, temperature here struggles to get above freezing. It drives me crazy especially watching the Masters over the weekend.
I know it made me feel better about my game when Garcia got a 13 on one hole. I've Been There....on more than one occasion.
We're getting snow up here today. Ive got a 5 hour drive to Boston in this crap today. Im ready for springlike temps up here.
Worst winter ever, it just will not warm up. We’ve had snow every day in April so far including today. In most cases it doesn’t stick but annoying just the same. So to cheer you up here is a joke, maybe you’ve heard it before.
Joe gets in to a terrible accident and finds himself waking up in the hospital after 6 months in a coma. He asks “Doctor, what has happened since I’ve been out?” The good doctor says” I’ve got some good news and some bad news”. Joe says , “well give me the bad news first”. The doctor explains, “well, unfortunately we had to amputate both of your legs”. After many minutes of woefull groaning Joe asks, “what’s the good news?”. The doctor replies, the guy in room 12 wants to buy your shoes”.
Safe trip
People wonder why i live in Maine? I hate crowds. I hate big cities. I hate traffic. I hate finding a place at the airport where i can see everything in front of me. Mrs Tsuga patiently waits while i find a seat where nobody can come up behind me, or most times i just stand against a wall in a cold sweat.......lol. Traveling with me aint easy but she endures it like a Saint.
Airports aren’t easy, in my work years I spent way too much time in them and missing my family all the while. I’m assuming this is your trip to Idaho for your grandson’s graduation? That sounds like a very purposeful and gratifying trip. Enjoy the time and hear’s wishing you a safe journey.
It's always a good idea to keep your back to the wall & eyes on the exits.
From what I've seen of Idaho, it's a pretty nice state too.
Hey Lake, the ospreys back on their nesting platforms in Erie?
That’s a great question about the ospreys and I honestly don’t know the answer. Throughout all of Erie’s warts, there are many beauty marks and why I choose to live here. One is Presque Isle State Park where one can learn so much about American history, nature, and enjoy one of America’s natural outdoor playgrounds. It is one of the worlds hottest spots to observe bird migration as noted by the Autobon Society. The purple martins make it one of their regular stopping points and it’s quite a sight to experience when they are here.
we have 4 seasons in PA..almost winter, winter, still winter, summer...........35 yesterday with flurries, today its currently rainy and 40....tomorrow......78 saturday 80. welcome to PA
I've always been intrigued by the signs for the park, just always in too big a hurry when I drive by. Sounds pretty nice. Martins stop both spring and fall?
Don't ya hate when it goes from early spring directly to summer and you feel like you're melting? We're getting "lucky", the heat is only getting as far up as Binghamton/Elmira.
Dont forget mud season. That usually goes from March to mid April in Maine.
They head back to South America late July early August. They feast on the insects that are so plentiful around the lake helping keep the mosquito populations down and have a cool sounding chirping noise, some say like R2D2.
Right. We are 120 miles north of Pittsburgh and while it will be in the mid70’s there over the weekend, it will be in the 40’s here. Worst winter, and now spring.....ever.
I heard it will be July 9th
Finally made it up to 60 this weekend, painted turtles are up out of the mud and the tree swallows are bickering with the bluebirds for the nesting boxes....I think we're getting closer.
