Well, i can finally get back into a normal sleep pattern now that they're over for another 4 years.  I'm proud of the way our athletes represented our country and themselves in the competitions but i thought some of the political rhetoric could have waited for another time and place.  I also feel as if the definition of an amateur athlete isnt what it once was and probably never will be anymore.

I've been scratching my head over the whole Russian PED scandal in that i cant believe that they'd be so obstinate as to once again cheat and try to gain an advantage only to be caught again.  I wonder, how many other of their athletes were using?  Why were they banned and then allowed to compete again anyway.  They made a mockery of the Olympic committee and I'm hoping their penalty is harsh.

Anyway, I would love to hear your thoughts and input as well!!
