That was a stunner for OSU fans. Our lightweights have progressed unbelievable.  That's SANDERSON for you! You can see the prep work behind the World's and Olympics.

We had them so worn down, the OSU wrestlers just stretched out on the mat. Couldn't move. These were your best wrestlers on OSU's team. Just stretched out on their bellies. Couldn't move. Can't wait fot the B-10 championship and NCAA championship matches.

Go Penn State...

I did not expect that kind of domination. I was giving Ohio State the respect because they deserve it. What I didn’t realize was just how good this Penn State team is, top to bottom. Manville looked like he took the gas out of Miles Martin. Sure he got majored but Manville gave up something like 17 pounds to the national champ.

Cael working his magic again...

RBY turning into one heck of a wrestler at 133, with his only losses a dumb mistake in a match he was winning, and a decision where most of the match he was favoring an injured knee. Come tourney time he's gonna be dangerous.

Also, the Cassar / Rasheed moves were brilliant coming into the year. Both have excelled in their spots.

It's amazing to me that if things go well at the NCAA's, we have a decent chance at having 9 All-Americans and 7 of them could possibly make a final (Nick Lee, Nolf, Joseph, Hall, Rasheed, Nickal, and Cassar) As of yet I can't say RBY or Berge are finalists, but Nick Lee certainly qualifies for that after beating McKenna. RBY could suprise some people at the NCAAs too

That's unreal

Ya, though I hate to get my hopes up too high, Cael could have 7 all Americans, maybe 8. RBY is a rising star but 133 is a meat grinder. I don’t know what to say about 149, just haven’t seen enough of Berge who most think he is the likely starter. Berge or Verk needs to get the rest of the matches for the best seed possible in the Big 10 tournament lest they get in a tough bracket. I think a healthy Rasheed beats Miles Martin based on the few times I’ve watched him. He’s good, maybe great but just doesn’t seem to be dominating ( just my opinion) . Anyway, my predictions for the OSU match were way off so what do I know.

You know what’s funny? The Iowa faithful are still saying that Cael doesn’t really coach these guys up, they are just top notch recruits who excel without him. They are sooo jealous and delusional.

It seemed like PSU was superiorly conditioned during last year’s OSU match also. However, if I remember correctly, Tom Ryan claimed PSU turned the heat way up in Rec Hall and they had the advantage. It’s a weak excuse for many reasons, but in my younger years of wrestling, I don’t think I ever practiced in a room that didn’t have the heat turned up for weight control reasons, so if that was the case, his guys should have been used to it. Of course, he also said the refs were mediocre and the bus ride was long. That’s what makes this year’s beat down so great. No excuses Tom. Your boys got their butts handed to them on home turf. In front of a bunch of red sweater wearing OSU homers who were quiet after Lee finished off McKenna. Great win for Penn St!

Right, it’s hillarious.  I read but do not post on HR as well as BlueWhite. Many on the HR board are still living in the Gable era. Ironic that 5 of Iowa’s starters are from Pennsylvania and 1, Lugo, an Edinboro transfer has that Pennsylvania root.

Hi Lakerie. I'll be at the match on Friday.  The last home match too and then the Nationals. We will be in 209 for the Nationals.

I'll go with the fantastic four, as I call them and Cassar for the finals. It will be a tough road for our others. How about Marsteller. He came back. Joseph only beat him by 1.

Notice how your behavior wrestlers end up at Lock Haven. Ya know Sanderson kicked our one light weight off the team real quick.

I know what you mean. I heard that lightweight was at Minnesota a few weeks ago but haven’t heard much since. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him at Lock Haven. I still have one, 6 session NCAA Championship ticket to sell at cost for $222.00.  Seats are section 210, row N, seats 17 to 20.

The match was over after RBY upset Pletcher. Tom Ryan knew it and the look on his face demonstrated that.

I would  put it for sale on stub hub or the NCAA tickets. It's real easy to set up an account. 600.00 and you should have no problem.  Are you staying overnight in Pittsburgh?  It will help pay your way. I'm going to put up 4 tickets for the first session at 75.00 each. Right now tickets are going for more for the first session Thursday morning. My aunt only lives an hour away in West Virginia and I think we are going to visit her in the morning.

We have our tickets in 209. Row n and p.

I got the scoop on the lightweight.  He wasn't given a choice. He was told he had to leave the team immediately.

It looks like our seats are just a section away, we should try to meet. Also, I sold the extra ticket.

Lake, she's 77. Hopefully you'll get to meet her and my dad. Neither have health problems and go to the gym x3 a week.

Oh, and my dad told me to go down 10 bleaches at Rec Hall Friday. 10 bleachers to get a drink. I'm not very tall. Can you imagine climbing DOWN 10 rows.
