i woke up this morning a little horse but certainly in the afterglow of the most exciting finish in NCAA wrestling history since Penn State and Cael Sanderson’s first title in coming here. Of course a little St. Patrick’s Day revelry helped too as I am obnoxiously Irish. Here are just a few random thoughts:
1. In talking to a few old wrestling buddies ( who suspiciously their records and achievements seem to get better every year?) that move by Nickal over Martin is an “leg elavator” . For those old enough to remember, Wade Shalles hit Jon (Bimbo) Chatman with the same move in the 1969 PIAA championships in what considered one of the greatest upsets in hs wrestling history. Shalles went on to win multiple NCAA championship, Chatman not so much.
2. There is much wailing and mashing of teeth on the Ohio State 11 Warriors forum. They hate penn State. I felt that same seething and hate when we went to the Bigs 2 weeks ago. I am now so proud to be a fan of the bad boy school when it’s really the bad ass school.
3. Joseph’s win over Imar wasn’t really that close and what was with Imar’s head butt?
4. Gotta feel for Hall but I’ve never seen anything like Valencia’s speed.
5. Hate to say it but Snyder’s mom is good lookin’.

Lake, did you try the leg elevator on your wife?? If so, when do you expect the swelling to go down around your eyes?
My grandson, his wife, and my son in law were all out there to watch. I didn't get to talk to them in depth but he did say it was fun watching the OSU fans after the Nickal pin. He also said Suriano wasn't a good fit for the team and it was best for all that he moved on.

Im glad your family had a good time in Cleveland. Did they go to the PSU social afterward? I heard it was a great time.
Taking Steaky’s advice, a called exactly at 10 am on 3/14 to purchase all session tickets for Pittsburgh. Within 3 hours they were sold out. The seats aren’t great but at least we are there. Per my question about the after PSU social, do you know how one goes about getting entree to that?
