Bittersweet... It's nice that our guys keep moving up to better positions, but it's also the reason we lost Fleming. Too many WR coaching changes.

James Franklin is a lot like Nick Saban he’s got a great eye for hiring good coaches and then making them better that’s why these guys are getting big time jobs in college football.

Good coaches that want to move up the ladder move on, it's just the nature of the job.  Only way around is to find the guy that wants to be that WR coach long tern

Believe what you want but Wikipedia lists Bobby Engram's current job as wide receiver coach at Penn State.

LOL anyone can change that.  Maybe it's true but when public can update wiki grain of salt time.

Yeah seems a bit odd to let that happen like that.

It's a good quick reference but you should always back check them...  I'm sure some over the top fan did that as a I wish kind of thing.

Not saying it won't be true or can't happen just be careful using wiki as fact.

This is a good opportunity to fix the poor secondary play and fill a vacancy in one fell swoop.  Terry Smith who was/is a wide receiver by trade is currently the Cornerbacks Coach.  Move him over to WR Coach, and then let Banks, who currently coaches the Safeties become the new Secondary Coach, and bring all them fella's into one group.

So, is this why they hired James Franklin? So he can bring in assistant's and then later graduate them with more experience to other Colleges?

It takes intelligence to understand what is going on... Good luck

Oh yeah,  intelligence.  Please explain to me at a used car sales lot . Sorry,  I just never heard of this.  Head football coaches are not career coaches.

This would keep continuity and disruption minimal...

I agree 100% on one coach with DBs. If you want the safeties to work separate drills that's fine but they need to work as a group in coverage.

I just find it very odd that all of these coaches are leaving. One has to wonder why if Franklin is such a great coach.

If you can find another college with this much turnover,  I would like to read about it.  This isn't about "overhauling" as the poster who started this thread.  That's a statement to butter it up.

Read about Alabama, you know... the team that has won 5 NCs in 10 years? They have tons of turnover in coaches.

According to your logic Saban must not be a good coach 🙄

You're stupid plain and simple...

You are just trying to start some BS argument and controversy where there is none. Like I said lack of intelligence on your part.

Go have that beer.

Certainly good to see PSU’s young coaches advance their careers. No doubt this is why Coach Parker moved on. Must be challenging  for wide receivers having 3 coaches in 3 years.

the great Nick Saban loses coaches every year and he loses coaches because they feel they’re moving on to better opportunities and more money and it’s worked out pretty good for ‘em  and the teams that hired them.
