I think that would be a very stupid move as there are a lot of talented players already on the team. JMO.

I've been hearing Riley from a lot of people but in all honesty that doesn't pass the sniff test for me. If it's him there's no need to delay the announcement as the early signing period is damn near here.
I still think it's Hartline and they're waiting til after the B1G championship to make the announcement.

I was told it was Kiffin by my relative that’s supposed to be in the know and you saw how that worked out. The only thing that makes sense is it’s Hartline or DeBoer and as you said, they’re waiting till after the conference championship games.
As I am also a Bama fan I can tell you that Deboer really doesn't like being at Alabama. He's just not a good fit, even if he can do the job well. He doesn't like the money men booster access there, constantly having to answer them for fear of retaliation. Honestly, Bama is... A LOT. Especially coming after Saban. Oh, and lastly I don’t think he likes the area either. Everywhere he has been (except maybe Fresno State) was a northern school. Also, he's not really a city guy either...
Put all that together and I think he wants a big school in the north, that's kinda rural but with a great recruiting base and nice geographical footprint.
IMO if he had to choose right now, between the two knowing what he knows now... he'd choose Penn State over Alabama. Just my opinion
Yeah I am hearing the same things from my contacts in Bama...He isn't happy there...I wouldn't be shocked if he isn't the next head coach at PSU...I think it will be either him or Hartline with Cignetti an outside shot...Frankly I think all 3 are great fits but don't be shocked if it isn't DeBoar because from what I have been hearing he isn't happy in Tuscaloosa and would love to get out of there...

I hope like heck ya’ll are right because the BYU coach and Lincoln Riley won’t work at Penn State and when I say work I mean beat Ohio St, Oregon and Michigan. We can beat the rest regardless of who the coach is.

There is a big reason Lane waited until after the Iton Bowl to make the decision, had Bama lost he would most likely still be cosching Ole Miss until the SEC Championship was over.
