Rumors that Miles Sanders will declare for the NFL draft are starting to heat up.
Not sure why, that would be a Tony Carr like mistake for him. Don't know why you leave early to be a 5th round pick, but I guess it is up to him.
I wish him luck whatever he decides, but really think he should come back for another year.
I agree Roam, miles needs another year and he needs to show he can hold on to the ball. I love miles but man he puts the ball on the ground. It would be better for him to stay another year IMO

at the end of the day Southern, you know we're both biased and want him to come back just so we can have a great year! ROTFLMAO
Well....I tried lol

I have to agree. I also read that right now he's projected to be a fifth round pick. Now, if he feels he can move up to the early 4th or 3rd round than I can understand why he'd want to leave early. I would think his 43 rushing yards against OSU and his 14 against Mich would stick in his craw and make him want to stay. But, knowing that he has to run behind this OL may be enough to send him off to the next level.
At this point I don’t think miles is as good as tony Hunt and Tony only lasted a few years in the NFL. I do wish him well and I’ll be pulling for him regardless whatever he decides. If he can get a big check then go for it.
I agree, he hasn't done much to merit high consideration in the draft even though he's not getting the run support he needs. I would like to see a little less RPO and maybe a sprinkling of two back to get him some running space.
Southern. I would like to see McGovern stay as well and block for Boobie next year he looks to soft to me. I read somewhere he lacks upper body strength. I hope Boobie comes back
I love both players and support whatever decision they make but IMO I haven’t seen any kind of dominance by either player that tells me they’re ready for the NFL. They are good but you have to be a complete beast to make the NFL
I read last week that he thought of entering the draft has never entered his mind. However, he may be getting "encouraged" to move on and make room for the younger talent already there and coming next year.
Sanders is an elite back that has not been utilized like an elite back the entire season. It's beyond ridiculous that he isn't averaging at least 25 touches per game. If this dysfunctional coaching staff would have given him the same opportunities they were willing to give Barkley last year I'm sure that Miles would be in the conversation as one of the top backs in the country.

Barkley and Sanders are about the same for rushing attempts with two games to go. Barkley avg 5.9 yds and Sanders is avg 5.7 yds. In fact if Sanders averages 90 yds p/g over the next final two games he will have surpassed Barkley's rushing total for the season. Receiving is another story. Barkley was used much more in the passing game but he was also avg a lot more yds per catch than Sanders (11.7 yds v 6.0 yds). In other words Franklin is properly utilizing Sanders based on his abilities/results.
If he leaves he will end up with about a $250K in his pocket after all is said and done, not a wise move b/c that munch isn't that much. And if he leaves, I'd say someone is in his ear saying the O situation it isn't getting any better next year. If he is that good and the line is the O situation isnt going to get better, then why not consider sitting out a year a transferring to a team that would highlight his skills?
Elite is a little strong. Elite is carrying the ball 793 times and only fumbling 4 times in which Barkley did.
Elite is not fumbling the ball 4 times in 25 carries in 2016 1 time in 31 carries in 2017 and 4 times SO FAR out of 193 carries in 2018. Thats 9 times in 249 total carries, hardly elite.

I'm pretty sure the coaching staff is to blame for his fumbling problem. After all, he's an elite back dontcha know??
Seriously though, he's not an elite back....yet. He could be, but right now he's a darn good running back that should stay another year to hone his craft. But hey, the decision is up to him.
