Hello Penn State fans! For over a decade now, my friend and I make an annual trip to different college stadiums around the country to experience game day atmospheres, traditions, and of course, football. This year, we would like to make the trip to Happy Valley for the annual White Out game when PSU takes on Minnesota. I always like to try and get advice from the locals regarding where to stay, bars to visit, good restaurants, etc. So, with that being said, our top priority right now is logging. Hotels seem to be completely booked. Any suggestions on how to find a place to crash on gameday weekend?

You're late. Early bird gets the worm. Find the nearest interstate rest area. Sleep in your car.Â
You can try Airbnb. That usually works for me.
@offb44 I eventually got lucky last night! Found one on air BnB. Thanks for the reply!

Which direction are you coming in from?
I was going to suggest trying something that worked for me years ago when me and my buddies made a last minute trip for an away game at Iowa:
We stopped at a Days Inn right in Iowa City the Friday before the game and went up to the front desk and asked for a room. The desk clerk said "Sorry, we're all booked". We asked to speak with the manager. When she came to the desk and asked if she could help us, I told her we needed a room and the clerk said you're all booked up. She said "Sorry, that's correct. We're all sold out because it's a football weekend". I asked her "If President Bush was coming, would you have a room for him?"  She said "Most certainly, we'd find a room for the president." I said "Well, I have news for you. He's not coming, so we'll take that room". She burst out laughing, went into the computer and said "Let's see what I can do.". Believe it or not, she gave us a room!Â
@mchisholm Been years since I've eaten in SC, other than at our tailgate. If you're in town and have time to kill before the game, maybe work in a walk over to the PSU Creamery. Some of the best ice cream around or used to be.
If you're coming through Bellefonte, Bonfatto's has excellent hoagies! Great for tail gating or late night snacks after the game.
I wonder if they still serve Peachy Paterno.
Still available to order online, so I assume they still serve it in-store.
Thanks Roam. I'll have to check it out! Isn't it amazing that they can't appropriately recognize ol' JoePa for all he did for the University but they still make money off his name.
Get Roam, 81 and remoh on here at the same time and the Rolex adds start popping up BK 😂Â

I keep getting "Ukranian Women" ads. I'm a dirty old man I guess.
Ukrainian women ads is what I’m usually seeing here. I do find it amazing how good they look after 6 months of war !
I love McDonald’s and the Ukrainian woman are gorgeous baby 😂Â
I was doing pretty well w/ women's swimsuit/bikinis. Alas, they've all put on sweatshirts today. sigh
