When the ruling goes against the favored son. How in God's name can they say a lateral is a pass when the ball ends up 2 yards behind the position the quarter back was at when the ball was released? The ball was not touched either.

According to the rule book the refs got it right.

I heard that was at the game and did not have the benefit if announcers explaining it. Thanks
