Mine??  Ray Isom's hit on Michael Irvin in the '87 Fiesta Bowl.  That entire defense was something special.

Ok.....what's your all time fav??

I mean, this one's pretty obvious but I can't not say it - Penn State vs. Ohio State, 2016. Beaver Stadium. Night Game. Whiteout. FG Block. Winning TD.

That play wasn't just a play, it was a statement: WE ARE BACK.

I loved both of those plays but mine is when MROB turned up field and jacked the guy up from Minnesota. That play IMO set the tone saying penn state football is back baby. I think we beat Ohio st the next week if I remember right. I know we had a loss but the 05 team is one of the best teams we’ve ever had. Look at the roster and look at all the players that went on to play in the NFL. That was a fun year just like 2016.

BTW I hate that the guy got injured on that play. I never want to see guys get injured under any circumstances.

Originally I was going for witty by  saying my favorite plays were Cats and Hamilton but as I read what I wrote it occurred to me that I’m the only one that laughs at my own jokes, therefore you are all spared.

My favorite play...1969 Orange Bowl vs Kansas. Bob Campbell catches a pass from Chuck Burkhart and tackled at 3 yard line but later scores the TD making the score 14-13. PSU’s 1 pt conversion fails but gets a do over because Kansas has 12 men on the field. Afterward Joe goes for a 2 pt conversation, a 15-14 win and #3 in polls.

Tsuga, I can hear it from the PA Kid, I can hear it from Wolfe and I can tell how humble you are but also can tell from your personality that you are one tough dude to get to old lol. Not by any means saying y’all are old but you , mb, Lake and my man  navylion all have the same tough ole man  personality. I mean that as a compliment fellas so don’t be offended lol

Same game.  Pete Giftopoulos's second interception of the game on a fourth-down pass ending a last ditch Miami drive with nine seconds to play to ice the win.

There were a lot of plays in that game that stand out.  I was fortunate to be there in person.  It's an experience I'll remember for the rest of my life.  When we got back to our hotel that night it was crazy.  The name of the hotel was LaPosada resort in Scottsdale and it was 95% PSU fans!  Need I say it was an all night party!

I was there too!!!  PG's interception was the stake in JJ's heart for sure.  I liked the Isom hit because it pretty much set the tone for the entire game.  Both D's were hitting hard that night.  I also picked that one because Miami was on a roll and seemed like they might go in to score until Ray's hit.  Also, Karma came back and bit Irvin in the arse on that play.  He had been shooting his mouth off about the size of our Db's and how he and his croonies were gonna make their night a long one.

I was also in New Orleans for the '79 Sugar bowl, Alabama's DB made a hellova play on Fitzkee at the goal line and you gotta give their D for keeping us out of the endzone.  Didnt we have 1st and goal on the 8 yd line??

Im still buying green bananas SPF.....lol.  Wolfy was a good man, I miss him.  We grew up together, served together, and were the best man in each other's weddings.  I was able to be with him when he passed.  I wish he would have been on here longer so you guys could have gotten to know him.

BT, BK, Navyjag....all old farts too!!!

This question to me is like what was your favorite bite of ice cream.  In my years of watching Penn State football, since 1972 freshman year at PSU, there have been son many great plays.  One I won't forget was in 1973.  I believe we were playing Navy and Cappelletti ran straight into 4 or 5 opponents, held them all up and then stepped back a bit and ran around them for a big game.  That man was a hoss.

About the ice cream thing, I don't know which bite was the best ever but I would make book that it occurred in the Creamery.

I couldn't make the Sugar Bowl, Tsuga.  That was one of the few I missed, but I saw it on TV.  You're absolutely right, 1st & goal from the 8 and couldn't punch it in!  Like you said, give 'Bama's D credit.  Not only did they keep Fitzkee out, but on 4th down they stuffed Guman at the goal line!  I had to replace my TV after that game!

Not really a play per say, but I think it was the Iowa game with one lousy officiating call after another.  And it was either at the half, or the end of the game, but Paterno in his 70's, put on a full sprint to the other end of the field to give the refs an earful.

@bobs-dimpled-chin

That was the 02 season BOB. QB play killed us that year. I think we had 4 to go in the first round of the NFL draft.

I love how Tamba Walks off the field like..”ya, just doin my job and I do it well”.  Thanks for the clip Bill though I’m jealous you and Roam figured out the secret and I’m still stuck figuring it out.
