Assuming the season will start on time, here is what I believe we will see. Do you remember last years Idaho game? The final 2 minutes of the 4th quarter? I predict the opening kickoff with Kent State will look like that. Maybe 30,000 fans made up of the student section and the top season ticket point holders.....which means I am out!
I heard Ohio State is already looking at ways to seat the fans in their stadium based on social distancing guidelines. Sounded like the students are given first priority and then from there it goes by a point system similar to Penn State for season ticket holders.
I know we kicked this around before, but I wonder how many fans we could seat in a safe type setting. I just spent a week in Florida and we ate out at a restaurant that had outside seating and the tables were 6 feet apart. ALL of the servers and staff wore masks. I actually felt comfortable under these conditions. The only thing in a stadium setting that would bother me is the fact that yelling ( talking loud ) apparently extends the distance that the respiratory droplets can travel. Not sure what this would look like, but if fans had to wear masks, that would cut it down some.
I just hope whatever they do, the fans take it upon themselves to be safe and to be responsible....like stay home if you have any type of sickness!
GO STATE! BE SAFE ALL!
30,000 in a stadium that seats 100,000 doesn't look right. Hopefully full capacity.
Psu and Osu and many others are planning for full stadiums and are putting together media friendly guidelines for a “just in case”. Once again, the numbers are plummeting. Hue gatherings, numbers plummeting. It’s over. WeAre
I guess protests, rioting and mass looting trump (no pun intended) social distancing, so why worry about full stadiums? Go Lions!!!
