The violence is part of a “George Soros” supported attempt to disrupt the country. Pallets of bricks just happened to be in some of the areas where destruction took place. Definitely not a coincidence!

Although I can't support an argument (with link) to counter your point, I challenge you to support yours. Optics wise, it sounds very far fetched and I'm guessing it was said in light but just to make the comment only perpetuates a myth (for some), considering your leadership position.
Southern and Sky, at this point it is unclear what groups are creating unrest but I did provide a link that tells how Twitter had to remove far right account posing as Antifa to promote violence. My opinion...both right and left groups are stirring up unrest.

My point was to convey that the people running around breaking stuff, for the most part, aren't the same people who are showing up to peacefully protest. They are two different groups (probably more) with different agendas. We should not conflate the groups or disregard the message of those protesting peacefully because other people decided that chaos, looting, and starting fires was necessary.
There are many reports out there from multiple news sources (MSNBC, CNN, FoxNews, etc.) all reporting that outside groups are definitely at play. As for my statement, you will notice where I said "Probably" preceding my statement. This was my attempt to convey that it was my guess or opinion that many of the people rioting were not there to do anything else. Just cause chaos. To your point, it would have probably been better to say "many of them" or "I think most of them" rather than throwing out a number making it sound more definitive, which was not my intention.

Great points lake because it’s very possible that all hate groups are out there to just stir up trouble because that’s what they do. Just my opinion but when the mayor of Atlanta told people to go home she wasn’t talking to the protesters she was talking to people coming in from outside to cause problems and destroy property. I don’t agree with all her politics but IMO she’s a good mayor for Atlanta. She takes up for the Atlanta police and she calls them out if it’s justified I’ve heard her do it myself. Regardless of who it is people need to understand things ain’t going to be perfect and bad things will happen sometimes but that doesn’t give you the right to be a criminal and destroy and steel other people’s property. Just my opinion but if a scumbag picks up a brick and throws it at a cop then don’t complain if they end up 6 feet under.

Defunding the police is dumb and even dumber to chant at protests. I don’t think that will ever happen but a 9 mm isn’t a bad idea.
@lakerie Years back my brother in law, a retired PA State trooper, recommended going with 10 mm. He said, you don't always have the time/ability to make a well placed shot, hit them most anywhere with a 10 and they'll stay down.

I hate the calls for defunding the police as well, it's not a good option. However, I do think there is a spectrum of thought on the topic, from people who think defunding means allocating some of the funds to other community ventures, to the most extreme of disbanding the poilce altogether.
The disbanding of the police is laughable at best, and quite an ironic statement as well IMO. This is because it seems people who want to disband the police are advocates of communities policing themselves... which sounds an awful lot like gangs... and gangs are responsible for more black lives lost BY ALOT.
Although I'm not for defunding the police, I am for demilitarizing them. Since the mid 80s there's been this ridiculous build up of military hardware going to police. Things like armored personnel carriers, assault rifles, submachine guns, grenade launchers, sniper rifles, and Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT). While I would say some cities need them in certain cases, the utilization of these resources is completely of of whack for what they are designed for. I mean, I get NYC or LA needed a SWAT team of some sort, but Rochester NY? WTF does Rainbow City Alabama need a SWAT team for????

A guy I work with now asked me where I was from and when I told him I was from a certain part in Atlanta he asked me how and the eff did you survive and get out of that place lol. This is from a marine saying this. When he moved here from Chicago he said he pulled into a gas station to get gas down at Bankhead courts and it scared him and he got back in his car and left for another gas station lol. I didn’t live in Bankhead courts I lived in Bolton apartments which was right beside Bankhead courts. We had bars on our windows lol

Anyway, after a lot of stuff broke, congress and the courts made substantial progress. Now, after almost 60 years, don't you think it's time for another spurt of progress?

I’m not really a fan of breaking stuff but I thank you for standing up for a righteous cause in the 60’s. They were interesting times weren’t they? For all that was accomplished from the turbulent 60’s, it’s sad we’ve regressed.
I have to admit that I wasn’t entirely clear on what “defunding the police “ meant. I thought it was the complete disbanding of local police departments through $0 budget. As the term gets put out there more, it has been better explained. As I understand it now, it means no additional funding or a drastic reduction in funding with those funds that would have been applied to police would go to social programs. Either way I’m not a fan of it. We need our police and if anything, funding is needed for psychological vetting of applicants and effective non lethal training...not military gear.
Roam, you mentioned the Koch’s twice. Read Kochland by Christopher Leonard, it’s an interesting read. They are not nice people though brilliant businessman.
lake, we haven’t regressed things have got better. Obama a couple of months ago told the democrats don’t tear down what it’s took decades to get too. Things aren’t going to be perfect and as long as Satan is running around there will be bad people doing bad things. When JESUS died and went back to heaven PERFECT went with him. 325 million people in this country and we had 29 unarmed black and white people get killed by police. Any loss of life is precious I realize that but them numbers ain’t all that bad. Hopefully the cops that murdered George Floyd will get what’s coming to ‘em. They got arrested what do you want the police do cut off their fingers and toes? We don’t have them kind of laws. Guys if we get rid of the government we have now we’ll live in a country like Russia or China and I’m telling you now you’ll be begging to get the lives back we live now. Things are good baby life just ain’t perfect because perfect left with JESUS!
Southern, I would argue that many citizens of color in this country might disagree that things are better. And if you meant by getting rid of the government we have now means getting rid of a government that tear gasses a peaceful protest for a phony photo op and with a bible no less, says to the police don't be so gentle, dominate protestors, some very fine people on both sides in Charlottesville and any star can grab a pussy, then I don't agree. I would agree that unless we find real leadership, we very well could be living under the Russian or Chinese flag (note..the last was a highly exaggerated statement). I do agree we could use more spirituality and I'm alarmed with rising numbers of atheists/agnostics within they younger generations.
