That's all I have to say about Penn State football (and all of college football)! When names like Buffalo, Liberty, Tulsa and Cincinnati are in the top 25 - with one in the top 10 and one just outside - this is not a normal year!! ND doesn't beat Clemson if TL plays and you will see that in the ACC championship. Penn State wouldn't have been 0-5 to start if they had their OOC games and may be sitting with one loss if the BIG10 didn't prematurely cancel the season causing Parson's to opt out....which I truly believe he would have stuck around one more year if it wasn't for that.
I wish the Lion's weren't sitting at 2-5, but a lot of young players got some valuable experience and I think most of you will agree there is some great talent coming coming up. Ford and Lee would have seen very little action and look where they are after 7 games. Porter and Washington....they are going to be outstanding. Strange and Lambert- Smith - two more talented guys getting playing time.
They get this QB thing worked out and Penn State will bounce back nicely next year. And credit to Clifford, he definitely looked more poised against Rutgers and most of the Michigan game. I expect to see even MORE of a performance out of him this weekend.
I don't know if a 4-5 PSU team will get a bowl game, but if they can win out and go 4-5 or 5-5 after starting 0-5, you have to give these kids a lot of credit for NOT throwing the the towel in on the season. I am sure they were ALL embarrassed at 0-5. To keep fighting, showing up and trying to improve week after week.....this is a team I want cheer on the rest of this season and next!!!
Go STATE!!! Trounce SPARTY!!!
