Honestly I would rather play Notre Dame than you guys. Its hard to beat a team twice in same season. You played both of us who do you think is better or who do you think will in. OSU is playing much better in playoffs than they did regular season but I assume you guys were as well.

I think if we had good play at a certain position we beat ND by 10. OSU should win by at least that much.

@psujoe we would’ve beat ND by 14 if we had a good QB. I can see missing on a few WR’s but fudging 12 WR’s, it ain’t happening especially when we see KLS go to auburn and gets 800 yards receiving and is all SEC in 2024. Ohio St will beat ND by 24 points just wait and see.

KLS caught more balls here in 2023 than he did at Auburn in 2024. He just had more yards at Auburn.

Bad example, Allar didn't have any trouble getting him the ball.

@roaminglion if he had more yards that means the ball was thrown down field something DA can’t do do it’s not a bad example.

Yeah, it is. I guess that means Clifford sucked then because he had more catches and more yards with Allar.

...but you've already said Clifford could throw better so I guess it doesn't count for that example?

Or... maybe kids get better from year to year and it's just growth? Nah... that can't be it, must be the QB.

@roaminglion this is his 3rd year roam and he threw for 124 yards in the biggest game of the year against ND beat up defense. Georgia backup QB threw for around 250 yards theND backup QB come in and outplayed him and the QB we knocked out before halftime come back in and outplayed DA. 52 yard passing in the first half but I guess it’s the WR’s fault. He played bad all 3 playoff games.

Yet McSorely gets credit for beating OSU when he played terrible, funny how that works.

And no, he's in his 2nd year starting. McSorley didn't play four years because he came in for a few garbage time appearances for Hackenberg. Anyone knows that.

@roaminglion  McSorely ran for a TD something that helped get the victory…don’t leave that out. That’s my point about Pribula, he had his feet to help move the chains same as McSorley. DA does nothing to help beat the heavyweights.

Your point about Pribula is a hypothetical fantasy.

Answer a question for me... Why did McSorley stink in 2018? Tell me why he only averaged 212 yards a game passing? Did he forget how to throw? Or read defense? Did he lose "it"?

Or... maybe... did his WR room suck? And maybe, just maybe, having good WRs is important to a QB? You're assertion that our WRs are good is laughable.

@roaminglion McSorely record at QB playing for Penn State speaks for itself. McSorely was also at Penn State coming out of sanctions the talent level was t even close as good as it is today.

Allar was terrible in all 3 of our playoff games and would be ran out of town this offseason if he played in any of the major programs that consider themselves perennial NC contenders. Like FD I think his issue is mental but he better develop some thick skin this offseason because if he comes back and does the same things in big games next year 110,000 fans in the Beav are gonna turn on him quick.

Never once said he played great, he didn't. I do think his WRs are chit though, and that doesn't help. Not alone in that opinion, as PAKid posted a really good video from Tengwall explaining the WR issue.

All I was saying is people pointing at Allar like it's all his fault haven't been paying attention for the past 10 years.

Yes it does... and I says he was 2-5 vs top 10 teams.

Also I call BS on your talent level crap. Godwin, Geiseki, and Barkley... LOL. Yeah such terrible weapons he had

You wanna knock Allar's WR's so be it...I think Wallace is a fine WR...I have been through the things you can do to help your WR's so I ain't gonna get into that again...He has a TREMENDOUS running game with 2 terrific backs...He has the best TE in the country...His level of play hasn't been good enough (for me) to be anointing him the starter for next season...Is he Hackenburg 2...no...I would be opening up the QB spot for competition...His problems aren't mechanical or physical with the exception of his footwork when he feels pressure...My issue with him is between his ears and his inability to handle the pressure of the big games...

You assume that the QB competition hasn't been open or that it won't be again. It is quite probable that it has been open and Allar won it and will win it again.

No one knows except Franklin and AK.

Your issue with Allar has been the knock on young QBs for the past 50 years. Not many com in and set the world on fire in their first two years of starting. That is rare. Hopefully things click for him next year.

As for Harrison Wallace... sure he's "fine". He aint great, and isnt a #1 guy. Certainly nowhere near Godwin, Dotson, or Hamler. Those guys were much better than anything we have.

The #16 QB in the country took his team to the final 4.  I wonder if the other 14 teams who's QB is not playing in the NCF Final would like to have ALLAR coming back next year if he played for them?  Yeah, probably would!

@mtnittanylion  well they can have him. I told y’all last year after the peach bowl we need another QB if you want to beat Michigan and Ohio State and win a NC. I watched the same QB in the peach bowl as I watched in the ND game. Between DA and Hack I ain’t never watched 2 QB’s struggle and stink up the field and not get benched. I’m sorry but at the Penn State level of college football they both stink.

FD, Pribula left because he knows James Franklin ain’t going to give him a fighting chance to be the QB. You seen with your own eyes Pribula come in the Wisconsin game and throw the ball all over the field and was 11-13 and helped get the win and all I heard on here was them are dangerous throws when the dude was hitting WR’s on the run and he did it coming off the bench with us losing. Pribula is a QB like the dude from ND, he finds ways to make plays and James Franklin let him walk. When McSorely come in after Hack got hurt me and navylion couldn’t believe what we were seeing and wondering why this dude was sitting the bench we were watching the game live and mb tried to tell all of us before the Georgia game that McSorley was the real deal. Believe what your eyes see on the field it’s not complicated.

Again...I ain't talking about "setting the world on fire"...I am talking about seeing improvement...I am talking about seeing progress from Big game to Big game...I could be wrong...I am every once in a while...LOL...You are correct as I stated I don't know the kid nor do I know the situation in the room...Only the coaches, players and staff do...I am judging on what I see...And yes he is 20 years old and has tons of room for improvement...He has the highest ceiling of any college QB in the country...Talent ain't the issue here...Lack of weapons ain't the issue either...He has 2 terrrific backs and an all world TE to throw it to...As I said I pointed to a couple of throws in that game that seem to be habitual to him when the pressure is on or he perceives pressure...The best way to sum it up is it seems like the game speeds up for him in the big moments instead of slowing down...Listen...He is the starting QB for our team...Nobody wants him to be the best QB in the country more than me...Right now I don't see it and I am concerned that I never will...

Of course we are happy to have the kid...He has the highest ceiling of any college QB in the country...I am praying to the God almighty that this kid uses this experience and improves and reaches his full potential as a player...That being said I am concerned...What I have seen from him on the field in big games this season concerns me...I haven't had the privilege of meeting the young man or of being around the program...If this kid works this offseason and gets in the film room he has a shot...Sometimes it never clicks for these types of guys...The only mechanical thing I see is he loves to throw off of his backfoot and that isn't good...Work out those footwork issues and he has all the talent in the world...My concerns are between the ears...They gotta get some confidence in that kid ...I am of the belief you are born with it but I believe preparation goes a long way as well...One thing I know is he is coming back next year and our questions will be answered then...

For f#@ks sake, let's quit kicking this can down the road.  Any coach (any) is going to play the best player regardless of his name.  As for Pribula he left on his own, whether it was for the money or knew he could not beat out Allar.  In other words he did not finish what he started.  He QUIT.

Yep, just like he gave the kicking job to the best player.  The guy who couldn't come thru in a game.  I don't blame Pribula for moving on.  Maybe it was Jimmy who quit on him!

Remind me... did that kicker get injured or did Franklin pull the trigger and replace him? Oh yeah that's right, he replaced him!
