I saw this and had to check if it was April 1.  It is not the PAC10 without USC.  It really points to two power conferences the BIG and the ESPN Conference.

Conference realignment again?  USC in the East with PSU, OSU, UM, MSU? 😎

@underlion I kinda like the what the ACC is doing; eliminate the divisions, play the same couple o' three teams every year, then the rest of the teams they'll play every other year, if I read it right. Of course we'd draw O$U, Meatychicken and GreenMeatchicken guys for our three.

@southern-psu-fan Not sure I'm following your thoughts on how a bigger conference might tie into the demise of college football bro. If anything, I'd think a bigger conference would be stronger, more $ to fight the anti football clowns.

Apparently it's being reported that USC & UCLA are in serious negotiations to leave the Pac12 for the Big 10.

Not rumors, but actually happening. If it gets done they would reportedly join in 2024 when OU & Texas are joining the SEC

Edit:  A few beat reporters for the Pac 12 that are considered good sources have said it's a formality and there may be an official announcement tonight or tomorrow

A little confused here.  Finebaum said this most likely will come down to two power conferences now - the ACC and Big10 - and no one else will matter.  I assume he meant the SEC and NOT the ACC???? He then said unless ND joins the ACC, the ACC will struggle.  

This will be really interesting to see how the CFP playoff system will be affected.  You would think they will somehow have to move to an 8 team (or maybe more) selection.  

All of this is now out of my pay grade!! I guess if you are Penn State fan living in Cali, this is good news.  Maybe be able to catch a game or two every year now without flying back to Happy Valley!!

people don’t like a whole lot of change and imo there’s a lot going on with college football lately and it could hurt the sport  especially when gas is $4.50 a gallon and fans hear college football players are starting to get paid. IMO college football better be careful. Now I’m still a fanatic if Penn St or Ga Tech is playing so I’m not saying it’s the way I feel but the numbers don’t lie. Just saying buddy I have no insight on anything just going on what I see and hear from people. Maybe I read to much BT 😂 

@southern-psu-fan Like the man said, go to the game or stay home and sit in front of you 72" TV screen. Did a quick look to see what the TV viewing numbers were, but most was detailing specific games or the playoffs. I'm sure it's there, but trying to get the farm ready for the family reunion this weekend, didn't have the time to scan through all of the articles. Maybe if Roam gets bored he'll delve into it.

I’m not sure if this expansion is good or bad for PSU but am fearing that the path to the playoff just got a whole lot harder for a lot of teams across the country and also for a few from both the B1G and SEC. I’ve been a proponent of an 8 team playoff for years but now think the only way of saving CFB is have the tournament go to 16.

Seems like the bowls really don’t care about attendance as long as they’re still selling tv rights and advertising so even though it’ll be as lot less relevant I believe the Rose Bowl will be around for a while.

As a wrestling fan I’m wondering if they will be pressured to bring the sport back though I doubt it. I’m hearing there is no B10 rule to introduce Olympic sports so that’s a bummer if so. On the other hand…. Woman’s beach volleyball in Happy Valley??? Apologies in advance for being a geezer mysogenist.
