Was just looking at future non conference schedules and our biggie for the next 2 seasons is Suckycuse !! I guess it’s better than Boofalo but we still have Temple and Maine and we need a serious upgrade !!! These games do very little to prepare us for B1G games and the stadium only being 3/4 full is embarassing. !08,000 strong my ass, it’s more like 88,000 strong for these games.
Meatchicken, MSU, OSU + a lot of SEC and ACC programs have the balls to schedule formidable opponents so why don’t we?
I know I’m not attending these crap @ss glorified scrimmages or even going to waste my time watching them and obviously many others feel the same way. If we are a big time program it’s time to start acting like one. Are we striving to be a mediocre Georgia Tech or an elite program like OSU?
At least get someone regularly on the schedule like sPitt or West Virginia and then throw in a team like Miami or ND once every couple years.
I’ve been screaming about playing tougher teams the last few years so i agree 100%. Ga Tech played Colorado, Tennessee and Georgia for their OOC schedule and all James Franklin could come up with is teams like buffalo and Temple? Smh
The whole "they don't prepare us for conference play" stuff is absolue nonsense. Michigan in 2024, Ohio State in 2025, and Indiana in 2026 played absolute crap teams on their OOC and did fine.
That is a red herring, people just use it because they want to see better games. I am glad Syracuse is on the schedule, I'd like it if them or Pitt was every year.

@been-there-ii i always liked the Pitt games back in the day and even recently when we played ‘em. Why is it some Penn St fans don’t want to play Pitt it’s a fair rivalry game? Plus they’re usually better than WV and the cuse lol
@southern-psu-fan Pitt fans are miserable and bitter a’holes that still haven’t gotten over the 48-14 drubbing they took in 1981? I wouldn’t say they are any better than WVU and playing the Mountaineers could be a fun rivalry if it was played annually. sPitt fans are also notoriously fair weather while West Virginia fans are passionate and bleed black and gold or whatever their colors are.

I don’t know who else Georgia is playing but I do know they have a couple games with OSU in the near future and OSU also has a 2 game series with Bama coming up.
We have Maine and Temple which is an absolute joke.
@psujoe hopefully MC has some good relations with big 12 teams and we can get some game with teams like K-State and BYU these 2 games would be fun.
With what we get on OOC games I’d prefer to play one gimme game and 11 big 10 games.
I don’t know what FD is looking at but Georgia’s non con is tougher than ours this season as is every other top 20 football programs. The only team that is ranked that has a schedule worse than ours is Indiana.

Well they played Tennessee State to open the season...western Kentucky week 2...and they play Georgia Tech...I would argue that Temple might be bertter than Georgia Tech this year because Temple has a really good football team...Where this SOS bullshit comes from is the rankings...When you rank 14 teams from the same conference in the top 25 it's hard to really figure out who is who...That is the big con and there was a great piece about this nonsense written 2 or 3 years ago...That guy hit the nail right on the head...The problem you have is ESPN is driving this bus and they are in bed with the SEC...Hence what is going on here...If they were business partners with the B1G there would be a totally different narrative here...

If Penn State goes through the B1G schedule with 2 losses they are in the playoff...book it
@the-funeral-director if our losses are to USC and Michigan it all depends on who we’re getting in over. If it’s an SEC team that has a good win we won’t get in I mean we got left out winning the big 10 and beating Ohio State on the field 2 of the main reasons they put teams in the playoffs. Just depends on who we’re fighting to get in.
I don’t like anybody’s opinion on who gets in we have 4 Power conferences take the 4 conference champions and let it be settled on the field but these scumbags can’t dictate who gets in it’s still a rigged system on who gets in the playoffs. I’m with Homer…upgrade the damn schedule at least we get good Penn St football games.
