As for recruiting, it's gonna be the same, I'd say with 3 star recruits and being at ISU, drama wasn't in the fold, and probably looking for same type of players to fill the need at PSU from a culture standpoint. Sure, guys wanna be paid but their is a blancing point.
Some of these portal players have either been told the coach supports their decision and/or the D and O schemes are not in alignment with the players future.

Manske the backup at IS is a 4* and in the portal. Guess Grunk wasn't willing to be #2. It is also possible that MC wants a double threat QB for his offense. Grunk is more pro style but maybe he could run but wasn't allowed because the backup was a wide receiver.

I’ve heard and read Indiana is coming for Grunk and you know VT and many others will be after him too.
he is one player that you have to retain...Whatever they gotta do to retain him they need to do it...Screwing around with this kid from Iowa State transferring in from the portal isn't doing any good...You gotta make this kid an offer and retain him...There is a reason teams are going after him and to let this kid walk is criminal...

IMO it will be mostly Penn St studs and 12 to 15 of the best players on the Iowa St team and a few USC and transfer portal dudes from other teams. We ain’t going to lose a beat I’m smelling playoffs already baby. Rojas and Cambell are huge keepers and of course there’s more but these 2 dudes are freaking huge to retain. I’m getting excited and we’re just getting started. Lol
Grunk was unlucky that DA was ahead of him and he didn't get a chance, then he was lucky he could show his stuff for 7 games, but timing wise and relationship wise he is unlucky, he may get lucky with his move but QB takes time and it seems more and more teams would rather have a transfer Junior/senior than develop a sophomore. Beau wasn't lucky either but he made his own and for some reason he needs to move again, my guess is that he is not #1.
Fans don't like this deal but it is what the legal system and NCAA gave us. Hope the pendulum swings back.
