Now 2nd on the depth chart for the time being since RG3 was injured. Has the next couple weeks to impress the coaches, which I think he can do. They already show a lot of confidence in him that he's up to the task.

Can't see him not doing great things whether on offense or special teams! So happy for him! Great football player, great athlete but more importantly, GREAT YOUNG MAN!!

I think Trace will do just fine.  IMO the best part of his game is between his ears, not only in football, but the way he conducts himself, on & off the field.

Would have been nice to read that article, but ya know Penn Live wouldn't let me do it without a subscription.  Wonder if you are able to cut and paste articles like that for us less fortunate?

Cave may have some insight on the legalities of such things ....

@bobs-dimpled-chin

Trace looked the part of a rookie QB in his first game.  Looked at his receivers, a little slow getting rid of the ball.  Looked small.  He did move out of the pocket well and did not appear to be concerned with taking snaps under center.

Not bad for his first game.  I think the key will be how well he builds off this performance and continues to improve.  I really believe he will.

@rip

I agree Bob.  He learns quickly, doesn't get rattled.

Trace had a really good game against the eagles last night.  The thing I like most is that he has continued to improve each week.  That bodes well for his future as an NFL QB!  As always, glad to see a former Lion do good 😀

From what I've seen, I think it's safe to say McSorley will be on in NFL for quite a few years. As a backup QB, special teams, etc. he's a valuable asset to a 53 man roster.

I believe he will be the starting QB there before the end of the season... He is by far the best passer on that roster...I am not sold on Jackson or RGIII... I can see McSorley being the starter their sooner rather than later.. .

I really think you're right, FD.  In my opinion, his head is in the right place, he has the heart of a lion (ex-Lion), and he's shown he has the arm & legs to be successful as an NFL QB.
