Hells yeah.
OH HELL YEAH! FLY EAGLE FLY!!!!! Dang, a healthy Carson, Miles in the backfield and Desean J as the deep threat! Can't wait for the season!!! So many weapons!!!
I think he'll be fine. Just so the boo-Birds don't get to him, LOL.
I work just north of Philadelphia. Everything on the radio about the Eagles running game is all about Sanders And how impressive his hands are catching the ball out of the backfield I know he left practice early the other day with an ankle injury. But was back the next day. Been a while since the Eagles had a Penn State running back. Tony Hunt was the last one the Eagles drafted.
Battle of the Birds southern, 9/15, Eagles at FALCONS..First, we'll take care of the 'Skins, 9/8, just got my tickets, can hardly wait as the Birds look loaded..
As for Sanders, while I have high hopes, this time of yr, I take things with a grain of salt, similar to spring training in baseball when you read everyone will either win 20 or hit .300...Its 9/8 when the real games begin and all the first teamers buckle the chin strap, you get the feel of how one performs..He does seem a little injury prone plus Im concerned of his past habit of putting ball on ground..RB'S who put ball on ground in the big boys league, have a short shelf life..
As a Giants fan I am hoping Miles Sanders does awesome but the Eagles lose to the Giants 😂
Back atcha about Saquon!!! Lol!!!
@roaminglion that boo-bird reference must have been for NY ; What other city would boo their newly drafted QB off the stage..

LMAO. The reference was for the Eagles fans. They're the one's that booed Santa Claus!
I didn't have any doubt who that was for, c'mon now..(Sanders is an Eagle the last I looked) You must be watching ESPN too much; they still bring up santa..My goodness, has that gotten old..over 50 years old back in the day of Franklin Field..You need some new material..
The Eagles fan base is one of best in the NFL, IMO the best, and IM a 30 year plus season ticket holder. They vociferously support their team, have a waiting list almost as long as the number in the Linc every sunday home game, and travel to all road games in very high numbers..Eagles players, and coaches love the fans, often complimenting them, and pointing out their role in wins..Players love playing for the BIRDS..
Diehard fan base but can be very radical at times from what I hear. I’ve heard the eagles fans can be brutal in Philadelphia. Is that true?
Brutal? southern I think youre going back to the days in Veterans Stadium where a considerable number of riff raff, drunks, incorrigibles, thugs occupied the cheapest seats in the upper level, and it became known as the 'notorious 700 level"..It became so bad that the Eagles had to crack down, and began citing people on the spot, and a judge set up chambers right in the lower bowels of the stadium. It was dangerous for fans of visiting teams, brawls were common.Id warn fans of visiting teams to be careful, and aware of your surroundings at all times..The City was as much at fault as the Eagles for not managing the stadium. The city managed the facility, if you'd call it that..
Enter 2003, and the Eagles moved into their long awaited new stadium, Lincoln Financial Field..There was an instant transformation, and a good one..Its my recollection my tickets doubled in price the first yr, the Eagles were determined to clear out the riff raff.Close to half the new stadium, you had to purchase a personal seat license, (PSL), an unheard of concept in the VET..The stadium is managed by the Eagles, security is abundant..The facility is well maintained, and is as pristine today as the day it opened , the Eagles spending vast amounts of money maintaining it
That's not to say you cant find trouble if youre looking for it, in a crowd of 70,000 where considerable drinking takes place, that is true of any stadium, look at all the fights surrounding Dodger Stadium in recent years..But this is now a safe facility, very safe in my opinion, and just like in all stadiums constant reminders to text security if you see a problem..The EAGLES managing the stadium, and prices increases almost annually , IMO changed things immensely..
Was that another team's fan base that burned, looted and rioted the city when the Eagles won the super bowl?? Couldnt have been the Iggles fan base, they're one of the best.

Sorry CT. I wish Sanders well, as I do all former Lions. We'll see how the boo-birds react the first time he puts the ball on the ground. As a life-long PA resident, I just never cared for the Philly "attitude". Probably comes from being so close to NJ, LOL.

You are correct that it is nothing like Veteran's Stadium, which had "Eagles Court" and a makeshift jail in it because the crowd had become so bad. That place was a cesspool. My uncles were (still are) season ticket holders and took me to some games when I was a kid, and you would not believe the foul $h*t I was subjected to as a 10 year old when the fans found out I liked the Giants. Just imagine 50 year old men berating, cursing, and yes... actually throwing beer at a child. Yup. The beer thing only happened once, but it also ended up in a fight where my uncle knocked the crap out of some dude for it.
As bad as that is, and was... I can't deny it's one of my fondest memories LMAO
However, I'd like to respectfully disagree, the Link still has its issues compared to other current football stadiums. I've been to games since and the Eagles fans are, for the most part, disrespectful punks. I say that having gones to 2/3rds of the stadiums in the NFL, and I've never experienced the atmosphere of Philly anywhere else. It's just different. What other city has fans that would dive into the penalty box to fight Ty Domi? Anyone remember that? LOL
Even towards their own players, it's bad. I remember being at a game where the Eagles were up by around 21 points with a few minutes left, and McNabb threw 2 incompletions in a row. What followed can only be described as a chorus of hate: "You suck McNabb!" "WTF McNabb!" "F you you piece of $h*t!" "Our QB sucks!" etc. etc. etc. Funny thing is... and this is why I remember it so vividly... McNabb finished something like 31 of 36 for 375 yards and 4 TDs that game. Philly won in a blow out, and that's what McNabb had to deal with. LMAO, those fans are just relentless.
So it’s true then lol. Down here in Atlanta we’re use to losing and being disappointed so we just throw our hands up lol...only the Falcons could find a way to lose a SB giving up the biggest lead ever. Man that loss still hurts lol
We will have to respectfully disagree Are the fans more passionate than most NFL stadiums, absolutely..Thats what makes playing here so great, and the Eagles to a man love playing here..Ask Nick Foles as the QB who came back to Philly as a free agent, when he could have signed anywhere . His first time here, Im sure he heard some insults, didnt stop him from returning, and he if he could start, he'd still be here..
I sit in a good section, which for some odd reason, gets more than its share of visiting fans..Last yr, I sat next to 4 Indy Colts fans, all decked out in Colts gear...I conversed with them all day, and didnt hear one insult hurled their way..They left very impressed with Philly game day atmosphere Now admittedly, the Colts will not get the fans attention, as the hated Giants or Cowboys..I wouldn't wear either team's jersey into Philly, but I wouldn't wear SF Giant gear into Dodger Stadium either, that's just good common sense..
On a typical sunday, there are very few, if any incidents at the Linc; if there are, they are dealt with swiftly..

That's all well and good, but I've been to many Philly games at the Linc and believe I know the atmosphere pretty well by now. As I said, I've also been to many of the other stadiums and none of them compare to the Linc. Period.
Yes, it's much better than the Vet... but Philly fans like to say they are "passionate" when other fanbases continually post articles about how they hate seeing Philly on the schedule because of their fans. It all met a crescendo in 2018 with the awful display by Philly fans at the title game against Minnesota. Peeing on people (yes that happened in a tweet vid), throwing garbage at Vikings fans, throwing beers at fans and the team bus, etc. This was all verified and recorded on phones... Same ole nasty stuff I remember in my many visits there.
Sorry, but the beat goes on... And again, my uncles and half my family are Eagles fans. I'm not say all of them are terrible, just stating that on average the nastiness tends to be on greater display. Of course, they have their favorite players and those guys love Eagles fans... but McNabb wasn't a fan favorite and they... ummm... well loved to tell him about it often. LMAO.

Safe as long as you aren’t wearing a Cowgirls or New Jersey Giants Jersey!! My Dad and Grandpa had season tickets for many years in the 700 level. The seats were right under the last S in the Schmidt’s beer sign. They moved sections after it started getting bad.
Half true, southern, the Vet, yes the Linc , no...Its a football game for cripes sakes, not a debate, lol , wildly enthusiastic fans...I tell people if they cant enjoy a game at the Linc, and have a good time, perhaps they should consider events at 'The Kimmel Center FOR Performing Arts" 😉
I remember THE Schmidt's SIGN..Going by memory, its been awhile, but I think my seats were in section 722, end zone, but on the diagonal..It was quite an experience especially during the Buddy Ryan era, whose own persona fired up the crowd..
It’s nothing like it used to be. The Vet was rough. It’s overrated about the fan base in being so violent now. As for the Domi fight. If that glass didn’t break it never would’ve happened. They pushed out the crazy fans with the new stadiums with the higher prices Same with the Flyers. The Spectrum was great atmosphere and a tough place for opposing teams. I miss that place.
