This is my guess for the CFP rankings...
1. LSU
2. OSU
3. Clemson
4. Oklahoma
5. Georgia
6. Florida
7. Oregon
8. Penn State
9. Baylor
10. Auburn
New Year's Six Bowls:
Peach: LSU vs. Oklahoma
Fiesta: Ohio State vs. Clemson
Rose Bowl: Penn State vs. Oregon
Sugar Bowl: Georgia vs. Baylor
Orange Bowl: Florida vs. Virginia
Cotton Bowl: Memphis vs. Auburn
Minnesota?
Wisconsin?
List looks decent but not counting on Committee to come up with the same. Hope so though because Rose Bowl would be a very good thing for Penn State.
Why is Virginia getting orange bowl with 4 losses?
1. LSU
2. OSU
3. Clemson
4. Oklahoma
5. Florida
6. Oregon
7. Penn State
8. Auburn
9. Alabama
10. Wisconsin

Roam, where do you have Wisconsin? Most prognosticators have Wisconsin interchangeable with Penn State for the Rose or Cotton.
It's because the Orange Bowl is mandated to take the ACC’s second-best team if the conference champ makes the playoff. They are going to be crushed by Florida who many think will end up in the Orange Bowl.

Minnesota was ranked 18 last week, they aren't a factor.
I had Auburn at 10 but of course Wisky is the wild card here. They could be ahead of Auburn or even ahead of us...
At worst that makes us Cotton Bowl bound with then in the Rose

That would be one heck of a drop for Baylor after losing in OT
I have a feeling we're headed to the Cotton Bowl. The announcers last night during the Ohio St / Wisky game at the end we're telling the committee to put the Badgers in the Rose Bowl, not that they carry any weight.
Yes and everyone of those teams IMO are better. What do I know I thought Utah would beat Oregon... LOL

Those same announcers were saying we should make the CFP back in 2016.... Shows how much weight they pull LMAO!
Exactly roam .. speaking of the announcers I'm not as big fan of Gus Johnson, Klatt isn't bad.

McSorely was on another level that day.
Fox announcer didn't want Wisky 'punished' for losing the conference championship. So per that logic lets let GA, Baylor and Utah where they were also. The new rule is that only conference championship wins count. Losses are ignored. So Wisky can only move down if a conference champion jumps them. Therefore we can't catch Wisky.
I really wish they had to write a computer model for the selections and follow it or at least answer as to why they didn't. As it is it feels like it is arbitrary ... they keep moving the goal line!
Who has the best computer model now? Nobody even references a model, I guess a model takes all the fun out of it. What will the talking heads talk about? Football OSU's superstar end, the LSU QB that didn't get a scholarship and now has multiple Heisman Trophy Moments pre game?
They have code words 'eye test', 'last years champ' etc that just mean we will do what we want.
Heck, had we beat MN they wouldn't let us in, They's say it was more important to take the B12 Champ and we'd be ranked 5.
