Here we are 152 days away from kickoff and I can honestly say I have NO CLUE what to expect from Penn State. I feel they have a good team, should be very competitive, but do they have enough talent to overcome what they lacked in 2020? I know a lot of us have zeroed in on the QB play, but THAT was not all of their problems last year. Injuries, opt outs and not being able to properly prepare for the season played a roll too. Hopefully most of this won't be an issue in 2021, but they still have young team and I am just not sure if they can develop enough by September to be a force in the Big10.
I am hanging my hat on Dotson and Clifford to lead this team out of the gate. Clifford is a much better QB than he what he showed in 2020 and Dotson returning HAS to be KEY to this offense in 2021. If everyone stays put, stays healthy and stays focused, I truly believe the 2021 team will be much better than the 2020 team that we saw kickoff the season last year. I know have I said this a 100 times, but they ended the year 4-0, beat some bad teams doing that, but that has to carry over into 2021. They got a good taste of winning, I still think THAT win at the Big House was huge and you could see the energy beginning to build.
Like I said, I don't have clue what to expect this season, but if they can get it together and take out Wisconsin to start 2021, I think we could be looking at very interesting 2021 season.

Besides Ohio State I don’t think the first 4 teams we lost to were any better than the last 4 we beat just one of those years where nothing went right until the team probably sit down together and said look let’s go to Michigan and get a win and kick their A double S and then they took care of business the rest of the year they started having fun. I believe the loss to Indiana really took it out of ‘em considering they had the game won. Water under the bridge let’s kick some butt in 2021 baby and let’s get the spring game under way and see what we got.
Agree with your analysis, Southern. One of your points especially struck me as being so true, but something we often overlook - "they started having fun". In general, the more fun you have doing something, the better become at doing it! Focus less on your aspirations for playing at the next level, the allure of the transfer portal, political and social justice crusades, pay for play, etc, etc. Live in the moment and enjoy playing the game, have fun!

10-2 at best. Getting past Wisconsin would be an awesome way to start off. Lots riding on the shoulders of Yurcich as the new coach.
Did y’all see Ryan Day take a shot at players sitting out the 2020 season? From what I read people were questioning Justin Fields work ethics and Ryan Day defended fields for playing, showing up to practice and getting the petition started to play the season. I didn’t like the way he got out of Georgia but he’s made up for it IMO stepping up and playing the 2020 season he went all out.
I really can't agree with the analysis that Indiana wasn't better than MSU, Michigan, Rutgers, and Illinois.
They beat 3 of those teams (didn't play Illinois) and in more convincing fashion. On what basis would you say that?
Tykee Smith the DB from WV transferred to stinking Georgia man. I thought we had a chance

50 states, more than 50 choices to transfer. Can't expect every player to choose one school to transfer to. Can't expect to make a championship team from the transfer portal.
@forum-titan. Snake, this dude tykee smith is a good football player and IMO there’s probably 10 schools that had a chance to get him.
Southern, I think we will be just fine on defense. Things get tight, I will suit YOU up, give you a Bud and a bag of boiled peanuts and that would be the end of that tune!!

No one was expecting a DB from WVU to make us a championship team. FFS.
