I know it’s limited fans but it is going to be a normal spring scrimmage game, right? Thanks

The last I heard it was just going to be the last practice that they were opening up to family and freshman students. I don't know if that has changed.

I read where George and Ohio st is having a spring game so what’s up with Penn State? I’m sure there’s a reason

If it's not going to be a "controlled" game and only a practice session, I just don't understand the reasoning.  Don't see how it could be COVID related.  Wether it's a game, or a practice session, you'll still have the same number of players interacting on the field!  Limiting fan attendance should take care of any COVID concerns.

Southern, perhaps organized due to remnants of covid. Playing it safe? They lifted some restrictions for fall football attendance which is a good thing. At least there will be some fans. Look at the bright side.  Hang in there.

I don't think it has anything to do with covid other then the limited number of fans. If there are no fans why take the extra chance of injury that is there in a scrimmage? That is just my guess.

@psugrad81. You may be right 81 even though we got some really good players James Franklin might see a depth issue and doesn’t want to take a chance on gettin anybody hurt.

Larry Holmes, from Easton Pennsylvania.  Muhammad Ali had a training camp about 10 miles where I grew up from.  I believe his training camp still stands to this day.  Some of my family members told me stories when he came into the area back in the days.

Yup, but he did go by the ring moniker "Easton Assassin".  I guess it's like Pres. Biden, he was born in Scranton, PA, but his family moved to Delaware when he was a lad.  Both Scranton & Delaware claim him as a native son.  Although in his case, I don't know why either location would want to! LMPAO!!

@rip. We don’t have a whole lot to brag about BK down here in Georgia when it comes to professional sports so we try and grab anything that’s good lol..He was the eastern assassin Holmes was one bad dude. Unlike most fighters Holmes didn’t let anybody rain on his parade until he got to old to fight he demolished everybody they put in the ring with him until he just got to old to fight. I miss great boxing BK it’s not what it use to be. Dude won 48 straight fights without a loss killing everybody they put in front of him and he beat some dang good fighters that’s why I think he was the greatest. Back then everybody in the top 10 would knock your D in the dirt lol

Born and raised in Schuylkill County. Familiar with that area. Deer lake off 61. Can't miss it.  Gipe? Hmm. I can be wrong but I believe there was a Gipe standout athlete.

I travel up 61 on occasion to visit friends and family .  Once you get past Leesport and  Hamburg things change. You start to see lots of eyesores.  There are  still piles of dirt on the sides of the road from years ago.  It's a type of aggregate they use in the winter for traction. It's a shame what happened.

Went there to watch him train for the Ernie Shavers fight back in 77, I was 14 at the time. I had my picture taken sitting on top of the Rocky Marciano boulder in the article below.
