I don't they struggle this weekend. I just watched the highlights of the Wisconsin game and I think offense started to find their groove in second half. It wasn't a great performance, but the confidence level definitley increased and Clifford appeared ( at least to me) to have put some distance between him and the Wisconsin QB as the second half unfolded. I expect to see a lot of scoring by Penn State, some very big plays and it wouldn't suprice me at all to see a shut out.
My goodness, they are ranked 11th now, just beat a fairly solid 12th ranked Wisconsin team on the road and they are now coming home to play in front of 100,000 + fans for first the time since the end of 2019. If that doesn't fire them up, nothing else will!!
GO STATE!!!
@underlion the big 10 needs to stop gettin spanked in bowl games and they might get respect. The goat joe Paterno went out west, to Texas and down south and spanked all the heavyweights from all teams from different conferences so I know it can be done. James Franklin has done a pretty good job as well. Go look at the bowl results from last year.
I don't think they struggle either. Honestly, I would hope they score early and often. Hopefully James will give our back-up QB (whoever it is) some meaningful playing time!
@culture-thrives:CT, as much as it pains me to say it today, I'm a Packers fan. Been one since '62.
When I lived down in PA, I was a die-hard Phillies fan. Since I moved up to Maine some years ago, I don't follow baseball at all.
The days of listening to By Saam and Whitey on the radio sure does bring back fond memories. Still haven't recovered from the '64 collapse.
@tsuga Great to hear that Tsuga...Ive been a Phils fans since the Whiz Kids of 1950, pennant winners, losers of 4 straight to the Yanks..
1964 was brutal, 6.5 game lead with 12 to play, I remember it like yesterday, seemed to be over with Phils flying home for a homestand. With the passage of time, I still have fond memories of that team...John Callison, Rich Allen, Jim Bunning, Chris Short carried that team..No one will ever forget Allen's rookie yr; he was terrific..
AS great as By Saam was, former voice of the Philadelphia A's....he's mostly forgotten in Philly, as HOF legendary announcer Harry Kalas took over booth in the 80s, and Harry/Richie reached iconic status in Philly.....I doubt any announcing team will ever replace them in the eyes of the fans; they were a legendary duo..
Great to hear from you, we're down to 3 games out; Bryce Harper has been on fire...I still dont see Phils catching the Braves..
@culture-thrives Braves baby 😝
Hey man, what happen to Not So Matty Fresh and your hotlanta tweety birds last weekend???
@southern-psu-fan ...well TO use an old cliche Ill never say never....Braves get a huge three run HR last nite in 9th, and still blow the game....Phils hold off Mets late charge to move within 2 games of first...this could go to the wire...Phils have 7 with Orioles/Pirates next week; if they dont clean up, they dont deserve the playoffs..
If Cinncy loses to IU they don't even deserve to be top 25. Like Miami, IU and ND they're proving to be way overrated.
