Start out strong and take care of business. Minnesota is an average big 10 team and with everything on the line we need to jump on ‘em early and give them an ass kicking just like we did Purdue. Get after that QB’s butt and keep pressure on him. Minnesota has had games where they’ve been a thorn in our side that’s why I say jump on ‘em early and kick their butts! Penn St 45 Minnesota 17

It is better for us for Ohio St to beat up on Indiana, right? I hate pulling for Ohio St but if it helps Penn St so be it.

These scumbags on espn is all about winning your conference and they act like they always have been. Somebody tell slick Nick that it might be true SEC teams have played ranked teams but they lost the games just like Penn St lost to Ohio St. Ohio St and Oregon have beat ranked teams. Georgia has to but they lost 2 games. It’s not our fault the teams we play are struggling you can only beat the teams on your schedule.

Yep, I believe it's better for us if the Suckeyes win.  Breaks my heart to root for them too!  We need to put a hurtin' on Minny.  I'm hoping for a 48-10 beat down.

Gus Johnson would make a good announcer if he would just keep his pie hole shut.

Yup, very good for us. Indiana just can't do anything on offense.

Kinda annoyed that the annoucers are saying OSU "dominated" us though. Like... what game were they watching? We had almost identical stats and coukd have tied the game with 8 minutes left. Not sure these people know the definition of dominated.

Jimmy appears most comfortable when he is 10-2.  Looks like he is on his way.

Another thing that was different, with one minute left in the first half, he gets aggressive and goes down the field and gets a score; any other game he would have let the time run out.

Side note; it is crazy this team could not rush the ball in the first half.

@psu61  I believe what we all need to understand is none of these games are easy to win just look at what happened to A&M, Alabama and Ole Miss yesterday. BG had us on the ropes earlier in the year. Every Saturday you better come ready to play or you’ll get beat. The transfer portal is working to level all the talent around that’s for sure and James Franklin has us at 10-1 so he’s doing better than 99% of the teams out there.  James didn’t want to lose that game yesterday he was feeling the pressure to win even if it’s pressure he put on himself he was at Minnesota to win. After the win yesterday we all should be proud because it was a dawg fight. Lol

@psu61 He did the, quick score before the end of the 1st 1/2, earlier in the season too. Can't remember what game it was though. He might finally be learning to be a bit more aggressive or then again it might be the "Big Zamboni's" influence.

Up until this year, College football was about being perfect every weekend and very teams can do that week in and week out.  Heck, even during Sabans run, he lost a game in some of those seasons to only later win the National title.  And look a this year. If the playoff system didn't change, we would ALL be holding breath at the end.  Is our loss to Ohio State better than ND's loss?  Or did ND's 4 wins over ranked teams offset that ugly loss and they slide into #4?

This new system is making college football very interesting right to the end of the season.  And it couldn't of happened at a better time. There will 12 teams capable of beating each other unlike past years.   Yes, Oregon is playing well.  But ND picked the right time to get hot. Arizona State is rolling along well. Boise State's lone loss is by 3 points on the road at Oregon????  Penn State's lone loss is to Ohio State and a lot closer than ESPN realizes!!! Miami is Miami, but hey, they only have 1 loss. Does Indiana rebound now that are not undefeated and become a big factor in the playoffs? BYU's lone loss is to Kansas who has just beat 3 ranked teams in a row....figure them out!  What about SMU?  They are hot.  Their lone loss is by 3 to BYU....who only lost to Oregon by 3.

And just for laughs.  What IF Clemson turns the ACC upside down and wins the conference?

We just need to take care of Biz one more weekend and relax.  I think we are going to get to see some really cool match ups post season.

GO STATE!!!!!

The thing about the transfer portal is it is not sustainable in building a program.  It is great building one hit wonders like you see with Indiana, but you need players who grow together over 4 years.....not just 1 year.  I am for the transfer portal, but you can't rely on it to build a solid program.  It will be interesting to see how Indiana does next year.  Don't they have like 28 players who are 5,6 and 7 year Sr's? Penn State is going to lose some really good talent next year, but we have good players behind them coming up.  Not sure we will have as good as a year in 2025, but we should have a good shot at 9 or 10 wins again....maybe more if your boy Pribula is good as you advertise! Hopefully we can pick up a decent WR in the portal which is how I think the portal should  be used.....fill in a spot here or there where you are lacking.

GO STATE!!!!

@mtnittanylion

I'm for developing the talent you recruit.  I just think the portal is the lazy coaches' way.  Plus, with NIL, it ain't cheap.  Another thing is, when you dip into the portal, you're rolling the dice.  Sometimes you win & sometimes you lose.  It can be a good tool in spots, but I wouldn't want to try to build a program using it.  Just my layman's opinion.

@rip James Franklin has done pretty good with it but not many coaches have the eye James Franklin does when seeing good talent that will work with his teams. The portal has been good to Penn St it’s also been good for Ga Tech …maybe that’s why I like it rip 😂

@southern-psu-fan IMO the transfer portal has been mostly good for college football. Some things need to be ironed out still, like players entering the portal mid-season before the play 5 games (redshirt)... but overall good.

@mtnittanylion And Syracuse, but thinking that won't help against Miami. Time will tell.
