@lakerie: lol....as an aside, My two Grandsons (The Kid and his younger brother) plus my son-in-law are down in Texas at the OTT. My wife said she told me they were heading down this weekend but I dont remember hearing that. They're supposed to be back for Easter Dinner....we'll see. Who the hell holds Olympic tryouts on Easter weekend??
I was sitting on the back porch when this yuppie couple came up and asked the way to town. I picked up my shotgun and replied, "It's the way you came from!"
@roaminglion. My gas echo weed eater went down so I put it in the shop and I bought an electric weed eater to just get me bye and I believe I like it better than the gas one 😂
@southern-psu-fan Yep, no yanking on the cord trying to flood or clear the engine & no 2 cycle exhaust blowing in your face while you whack your weed!
Got my 2nd shot this aft, by a nurse who's son it a RBs coach for Mich, in the shadow of the Carrier Dome...or whatever they're going to call it now.
@been-there-ii. Glad you get vaccinated brother I’m still in the process.
Mt Nittany is fully JUICED as of this past Friday! Fill Beaver stadium!!! I am good to go!
GO STATE!
@been-there-ii: How did ya feel after the 2nd one?? I'm getting mine on the 15th and I'm hearing the 2nd one is a real piss-cutter. Is it true it knocks ya on your ass for a spell??
@tsuga Well, I guess it all depends on the individual. My folks, both in their mid 90's, 2nd shot, no reaction other than sore arm. My little bro got his 2nd, no reaction other than sore arm. My SIL was sick for 2 days.
Me, I noticed my arm as a bit more tender than the 1st shot. Maybe a wee bit of a headache, that was all I can say I noticed.
We all had the Moderna.
Yes, I was a little apprehensive too, due to hearing the stories. But I'm pretty sure it's better than catching covid.
I had no reactions after my 1st or 2nd shots. Maybe a little bit of a sore arm like getting a regular flu shot. Damn glad to be vaccinated. I just don't know why some people refuse to get the shot.
@been-there-ii I got mine 25 March. Pretty much the same result as BTII. Second shot my shoulder was significantly sorer but no other ill effects.
I do got to say though, in an effort to thwart the sore shoulder I upped my physical activity X's 2, I doubled my curls, I hoisted 12 16oz curls instead of 6 12 oz curls. I increased the weight by 25% from 12oz to 16 ounces, doubled the reps. Got to say that after I finished it was really a success! I din't feel a thing let alone pain in my shoulder nor did I give an f about COVID!!
@navylion You went the hard way Sir. A couple o' Sierra Nevada Narwhals, 10% alcohol, you only need to curl half as many. Work smarter, not harder!
1st one I ever had, it was a hot summer day, it went down in about 15 min. I went back in the house, grabbed another, went back out to sit in the shade. At the 20 min mark it hit me. Then I looked at the alcohol content. Beer #2 went down considerably slower.
I got the Pfizer. No side affects (at all) after both shots. I am now 60 hours past the second one, but they say you can get side affects up to 72 hours afterwards. My In Laws who are in their 80's both got Pfizer and the same for them.
Somebody told me the younger you are the more chance that you will have some minor side affects. Younger folks have a stronger immune system, so it attacks the vaccine more so than if you are older....something like that anyhow.
I am not suggesting or encouraging anyone to get the Vaccine, but I have had enough close friends that have gotten the virus and it was ugly. All but one came out on the other end fine, but one is still in rehab for his lungs two months later....and he is 5 years younger than me. Here is "one big" reason to get the vaccine....no pun intended. I read that the ED is a long term issue for a lot men that get the virus. Enough said for ME!! Who feels like carrying Viagra in their wallet 7/24? Not me!!
