@rip Not sure what all Franklin can do to stop him from leaving. He can't give him a raise w/o running it through channels. If the man wants to go to South Bend, he's gonna go to.

@southern-psu-fan Yeah, Franklin usually picks pretty good support staff. Not 100%, but he does usually pull a rabbit out of his hat.
I guess he could offered him X amount of bucks and hoped the BOT would ok it. If the BOT turned the request down, Jimmy could have chipped it in out of his bonus money, lol. Seriously, if you bust the bank on hiring THE D Coordinator, you should probably anticipate that other coaches on staff might be looking for a raise and have a contingency plan to take care of who you want to keep.
I hope so, Southern. From what I've read, his recruiting is what we're gonna miss the most.

Oregon started its rise with the Nike Camps. I forget how that strategy worked but they gained a significant advantage with it. More than they did with the 10 uniforms 🤑

IMO the RB’s coach will be replaced very easy and with the studs we have at RB will make him look like a great position coach. James Franklin recruits stud RB’s that live up to the hype.
@southern-psu-fan We hired Seider because he was and still is one of the best recruiters in the country and he is the reason we do well with RB’s and I’d be willing to bet at least one, possibly 2 highly touted guys hit the portal in the spring. Let’s not pretend his leaving isn’t a huge loss because it definitely is.
I don't know about the grass, Southern, but I bet the money is a lot greener. Shame Jimmy shot his load on a new DC and apparently didn't put aside a few crumbs to take care of his existing staff.

I’m a jimmy. There’s 2 jimmy’s where I work and the other dude is a piece of work baby he’s definitely different our plant manager wants him to retire. I get told all the time when the guys are joking with me…you are a Jimmy 😂
