I agree with you on Indiana, but here's why Maryland is different...

Maryland has recruited well the past 3 years, Indiana has not. 2017 Maryland's recruiting class was #25, and 2018 it was #18. Last year they dropped off a bit in recruiting due to the coaching change, but certainly made up for it in the transfer portal. They brought in kids from VT, Ohio State, and Clemson who all now start...

Add that together and they are not the "also ran" they have been in the past, it is a young team with good talent... and now they have an experienced QB at the helm. This is why I think Maryland is a good team and will be a tough game. I think we can and will win it, but to compare Maryland to Indiana this year makes no sense.

Maryland is way ahead of Indiana in terms of recruiting and getting quality transfers. They are good, I just don't know how good yet.

We definitely need to come ready to play which I think we will since it’s Maryland and James Franklin coached there. Franklin usually has us up ready to play Maryland. Really Maryland and Illinois should have good football teams. As young as this team is they better come ready to play every game. This week against Pitt will tell us what we’ve got?

Yeah, I think Pitt is another step up from what we've seen so far. However, it's not as big a jump in quality as it was from Idaho to Buffalo.

What I'm most interested in seeing is Pitt's passing attack vs. our defense. Virginia shut down Pitt pretty effectively, but it was the first game. Pickett threw for 325 against Ohio, but their secondary is pretty bad. All in all, I think our defense will handle Pitt's offense fine.

Offensively, we should really dictate the game. Pitt could stuff our run, as I'm not to confident in that aspect of our offense yet, but even so our passing game will be enough. However, I'm really hoping we see a running game worthy of our talent on Saturday. We really should, on paper this offense should dominate Pitt's defense.

I’m telling ya Roam, Clifford is good enough to sit back and throw the ball 50 times a game because he’s got a dang good arm. If that old TTU coach had Clifford he’d beat you to death with his arm. I do want him to stop running so much because he’s gettin hit hard.

Still have trouble losing to Maryland the year their captains refused to shake hands.

By look of o-line again safe to assume have to throw the ball to open running lanes (for the RB’s). Now if PSU was in Big 12 like Tech they could get away with throwing it 50 times a game
