By the end of the season we may be looking at bias/favor towards the conferences that decided to play right away. It's probably inevitable that the PAC 12 will follow the Big 10, so it will be very interesting to see how the pollsters react. We were #7 in the preseason, so where does that mean we land after game 1? Will we drop, climb, etc?

If Penn State runs the table and wins the Big10, they will be in the playoffs as long as they play at least 7 games....BANK ON IT!

I was busting on the BIG10 earlier this week for pulling the plug too quick, but they now have had the opportunity to see what is going on out there and it may play into their hand.  The ACC, SEC and BIG12 have another 5 weeks to get through before the BIG 10 starts.  They have already cancelled over a dozen games and this is only week three and it sounds like their may be some more this weekend.  The Big10 may be the healthiest teams out there in the end.

GO STATE!

One of the guys from selection committee was on ESPN and stated the current cut off is 7 games.  They will select the 4 teams that have 7 games or more and the number of games will not come into play.  So a 9-1 team would not jump a 7-0 team simply based on the number of games played.  It will still be based on SOS, W/L and Conference Championships.

It looks like the PAC 12 will be in now too.  They are shooting for 10/24 as well.  You watch, the Big10 and PAC 12 will come out of this smelling like a ROSE....no pun intended!

brother, I wouldn’t bank on anything with this rigged system we got in picking the top 4 teams the only thing you can bank on is these people whatever you want to call ‘em pick who they want in the playoffs and they’ll change what they want and they ain’t nothing anybody can do about it until we get a true playoff system going that gets everybody’s opinions out.

BT, with everything going on with the virus I’d rather just play 12 big 10 games and do a big 10 championship game and not do a NC game this year. If all teams were a 100% I would want a NC game but that’s not the case.

You hit the nail on the head!  With everything going on this year, they'll have a field day naming their playoff teams.  I smell the Iwish are already in after their "impressive" win in their ACC debut!
