There is really no way of determining who the best teams are this year. Even if we get as far as seeing a NC in January.Β  Who knows what will be next. Everything is so screwed up even at the HS level, kids opting out, conferences cancelling.Β  It's a total mess. Let's be honest and happy the big 10 reversed its decision.Β  We at least get to see some football in October.Β  I'm happy to see some football but I'm not happy the way this crisis was handled from the start in February.Β Β

I agree, have always said that this year is going to be a big asterisk for me. Same as you, it's nice to see that rapid testing enabled the Big Ten to play safely and will be a lot of fun...

Hindsight is 20-20 and for sure everyone involved in making covid decisions would like a redo. But like combat, those decisions were made in real time.Β

Getting excited to watch B1G FOOTBALL!

While Clemson, Bama, OSU seem to be the consensus top 3, any one of 10 schools can probably winΒ  a national title this year....I certainly hope not, but its very possible, you may not recognize your favorite team come January this yr, dependingΒ  on who gets affected by the virus

Im just happy to come every saturday, watch football games..THe national title just seems incidental this yr, its much more important, that the young men who put so much on the line representing their universities, stay healthyΒ  That should be everyone's fervent wish.. Achieve that goal, we can worry about success on the gridiron later..

I think many players today compete for themselves and not for their university. They use the system to further their athletic goals and make the NFL. Not saying this is a bad thing. Β It’s just the way it is. Guys opting out, declaring for the draft prior to using all their eligibility, and not playing in bowl games is proof positive the β€œold days” are over.Β
