5-2 and ranked 20th in the AP and they are going to face a #5 Ohio State on the road and most likely a #6 Michigan at home. I am still NOT convinced Ohio State is GREAT! Do I think Penn State can win? Stupidly enough, I do! I have been waiting for this game all season - just not under these circumstances. I am telling you all straight up, forget the run and just pass all night long. On the opening drive, Tuttle took Indiana right down the field, 75 yards and scored....TOP 6:52. Had he not got injured, I think he would had more TD's for Indiana. You mark my word, Bama, Georgia and Oklahoma will light up the scoreboard against Ohio State's secondary.
Now, you all going to say the Penn State offense looked horrible on Saturday. Well, I can't disagree. BUT, I am certain they told Clifford not run the ball and by doing that, they took a weapon away from him (and the offense) that would have worked against Illinois. This is back to back weeks where I feel the coaches just down right blew the game. They relied to heavily on the defense vs Iowa and they relied too heavily on Illinois being horrible! Call me crazy, but Roberson wins that game for Penn State if he plays! The kid can run and the kid can pass. Against Iowa? All they had to do is call simple pass plays left and right and give him the option to run or throw. Whatever, that is a different conversation!
Ohio State is beatable next weekend. And Penn State has the team to do it! There are ONLY TWO REASONS Penn State can't win:
1) Clifford is hurt more than we know
2) Pry waits until halftime to make adjustments and doesn't put constant pressure on the QB from the get go!
I don't think Ohio State's defense is any better than Iowa's and Clifford was ABOUT to have his way before he got hurt! As far as the Illinois game is concerned, that is in the history book and over. Next Saturday night will tell you all you need to know about the Penn State football! There is absolutely NO reason Penn State can't get back on track. Every possible mistake for one season has been made by both, the coaches and the players the last two games. Now learn from them and move on.
Just remember the loss against Pitt in 2016, the blow out against Michigan in 2016 and the heartbreak loss against USC in 2016......and a three loss Penn State team with a final ranking of #7 in 2016.....including one of the most dramatic wins ever over??? OHIO STATE in 2016!!!

As unpredictable as this team is I wouldn't bet on or against them. It wouldn't surprise me if they pull off a miracle in Columbus and then lose the next 2 games on the schedule, both of which I'll be in attendance.

Nice to see there's actually someone else here that attends games! I can't wait to see how MD fans treat us, I know they hate us and have heard some stories about 2 years ago at the Friday night game. If we lose to MD I'm sure you'll have plenty of help shipping them out but am not sure if USC would want him at that point.

A win over #5 Ohio State and if Michigan comes into Happy Valley undefeated and another win over ANOTHER #5 team or better and then a win over Sparty on the road ( a one loss #10 team which is very possible ).....Hmmm.
Remember that two loss Penn State team in 2016? If for some unbelievable reason Penn State would pull this off, that would be a very interesting Playoff Committee meeting! That would be a much better resume than 2016!
You are right! The coaching and the play has been SO inconsistent that anything is possible!
Just remember this! In week 8 of 2016 Penn State was not ranked!! In week 9 they were ranked #24. They finished the regular season #5 and 1 spot outside of the playoff picks! They are now ranked 20th in week 9 with games still against #5, #6 and #8 ( with #6 and #8 yet to play each other. A sparty or Michigan loss won't drop either team back more than 5 spots this late in the year....and maybe only back to #10 if the game is close.
I mean I am WAY OUT there with this, but what happens if it happens? Wouldn't it be a crazy end to this mad year!!!! Of course, if they lose to Ohio State, see you in NYC at the Pin Stripe bowl if they can muster up a win over Md or Rutgers!

I was going to Ohio State this weekend. However, as I have told everyone here, my father in law and I are like 1-14 on the road. The only win we have was against Sparty two years ago. We are bad luck, so we are staying home! Actually, Something came up so we can't make it. WE ARE going to MD as of right now, I hope our winning streak of 1 continues and we don't hurt Penn State!

Park behind The Hotel at the University of Md..... I did at the last game and it was an easy in and out and easy walk. Parking is ridiculous there. I was just on campus last week for a meeting, scouted around for parking since I am taking my father in law and this still looks like the best bet. You can tailgate and there was a lot of Penn State fans.

I agree 100% Roberson would’ve give us a great chance to win that game Saturday he was fresh and Illinois defense was tired and Roberson can run he had some good runs against Iowa and Iowa’s defense is much better than Illinois. What gets me is they let #44 throw the stinking ball on a stupid trick play but I guess Clifford was still in on that play so his feelings won’t get hurt. I’m a believer in gettin the win I don’t give a rats ass who gets the credit just win the game.

You don't have 105k coming, so the traffic is nowhere near what it is out Beaver Stadium. You will be parked next to Campus Drive. Turn right out of the lot onto campus drive and it should take you right to 495.
My frustration is at James Franklin not Clifford, the kid toughened it up and played his best he just was injured and you could see it. I’m all for sticking by your QB if he’s having a bad game but if the QB is injured and is not playing how he normally does get him out. I only called for Roberson very late in the game and in OT because I thought he offered something Clifford couldn’t do and that’s run the ball. Clifford would’ve understand he’s a tough dude. I wonder how Roberson feels letting the backup TE get a chance to win the game but didn’t e en think about him. I said after the Iowa game Roberson can help us win football games the dude can run and he hits the holes better than our RB’s do the dude is an athlete with skills that can win games.

Depends on if you are going south or southwest. Running down 95S can be a nightmare on a Saturday. Going sw, take 495 to 66 to 29S or 81S and pretty much smooth fast sailing
