I've said for years the system was set up for southern teams....a little less now.  It should simply be 16 teams and the first round is at home for the better ranked teams.  Heck, why not two rounds?

@underlion yet the goat Joe Paterno went south and beat SEC and other southern teams all the time. Joe also went out west and even stayed up north and beat teams and he never made excuses like Tom Osborne.

the crime here is that they force 2 B1G teams to play each other in the next round...If they woulda spread em out I believe you would have had 3 of em in the semi finals...

Big 10 is setup for big markets...read NIL $.  The landscape may have changed and that may be why Saban is retired...  Or else his wife was tired of T-town 🙂
