"QB is King" doesn't mean it's the only position on the team capable of winning. Sure it's important, but you're acting like no one else matters. Get out of here.

All this with the #1 team in the nation playing a game manager. Revisionist history to say the Georgia QB is anything but... Stetson Bennett was a 2 star recruit and manages the games well with a phenomenal defense. He's no superstar, Georgia isn't winning games because of their QB.
Yea but, don't have a BOB line and expect your QB to perform. I might propose that having 5star offensive linemen can make a good quarter back a superstar. Review how many times K Collins was sacked in 94. I'd also propose that Iowas line is good but the QB...not so much.
Bielema may be right but he looks small and defensive saying it. If he understood politics he'd get a surrogate to say it. I assure you that line is much better than the BOB line. I'll disclose I'm not a Bielema fan boy. Doesn't seem like he is psychologically motivating them...only making excuses for his losing. Think they will play harder for him?
Back to the topic the line is PSU -21...they must think one of our QB's is going to perfom or IL stinks. Lets just win and get healthy.
The top high school quarterback is coming to Penn State next year. He possibly could be the starter.
A football team is like a house; if the foundation isn't solid (O'Line) the steeple (QB) is gonna fall/fail no matter how well built. As an arm chair coach, it doesn't take much to realize how important the O'line and D'line to the success of any team, yeah you can get away with a poor line every now and then but it just won't hold up to the testament of time. Gospel: 12:52
I never said all the positions weren’t important, I said the QB position is the most important and it is if you don’t believe me just look who wins 99% of the Super Bowls and NC’s the last 20 years. This ain’t the 80’s and 90’s, football has changed and the goat joe Paterno even said it back in 05. The days of having our 1994 OL are gone the defenses in college are to fast and strong and if there is a great OL players the NFL are on ‘em like stink on chit they just don’t stay 4 and 5 years anymore. Most teams struggle at the OL even Clemson and Alabama the thing with these 2 teams and Ohio St is they usually have NFL future QB’s and they are able to hide flaws. Look at the Iowa game first half with Clifford and the second half without Clifford. Same OL unless I missed something.
If you have a great OL and a QB that sucks, all you're doing is giving the QB plenty of time to throw INT's! Remember, it takes two to tango.
The importance of an OLine isn't felt as much in the passing game as you can roll the QB out and do different things to buy time through personnel groups and formations.... The importance of an OLine comes into play when you need to run the football effectively to put a game away and Penn State doesn't have that ability due to its below average line play...
I blame it on Hack. It's been a few years since anyone has done that.
Gonna have to sit this week's game out gang. Today is youth hunting day in Maine and I currently have 3 grandkids out in stands looking while grandpa is putting on one man drives for them. No shots fired yet, could be a long day.
As you were gentlemen.
