Go back and look at the recruiting classes and the amount of 4star wr’s that have been busts since JF has been here. The clown at the top is the problem and it’s time to start holding him accountable. Why would a highly touted WR or QB want to come here?
@psujoe Homer, we put quite a few WR’s in the NFL since James Franklin got to Penn State. I mean some big time stud WR’s. There have been some guys that didn’t live up to the hype but that happens at every college. Ole Miss defense ranked 68th in the country in total defense. The problem is the QB not the WR’s. Who knows how good the WR’s are if the QB can’t move the chains. I’m not saying they are great WR’s I just don’t think they’re the biggest problem. Fix the QB position and I’m pretty sure that will fix the WR position. Ole Miss sorry defense wasn’t worried about our passing game and their defense stinks.
We got 7 WR’s in the NFL but I believe only 6 of ‘em was recruited by James Franklin. I’m not sure about Allen Robinson I believe the goat Joe Paterno may have recruited him.
Did y’all hear David Jones is retiring? I know he can be a butthole sometimes but I always liked the post game show him and Bob Flounders did after the games. He was at Pennlive for a long time.
My goodness Ole Miss is killing it in the transfer portal. The Alabama center is in the portal man I’d love to get that dude at Penn St. he had a tough go against Michigan but he’s still a good center.
@southern-psu-fan We’ve had a lot more busts than success at the WR position and no it’s not normal and doesn’t happen at every college. The way this season played out is going to make WR and QB recruiting rough at PSU for years to come. I wouldn’t be surprised if KLS hits the portal along with a few others.
Fleming and Harrison Wallace are the clear 1/2. KLS could probably be in the slot but I doubt he’ll want to take that much of a drop on the depth chart. IMO Evans has a higher ceiling than KLS anyway. KLS might just be better off going undrafted and trying to make a squad in the NFL.
@kularrow: What ever happened to KLS?? He was pretty much a non-factor going down the stretch. I had heard back in November the the entire WR room was a toxic mess and KLS was pretty much a cancer to the room. Not sure how accurate that was.
Also, just saw where Rucci from Wisconsin in in the portal. His father is a letterman and his parents are both season ticket holders. Would love to see him come back home.

Locked On Nittany Lions said KLS just couldn’t breakthrough against high level B1G opponents like Dotson and Hamler did in the past. He shined against IU and WVU but that’s about it. My opinion on KLS is he’s a good slot player that shines when the run opens up hence why he had a nice game in the Rose Bowl last year.

@forum-titan Charlie Weiss is a blowhard know it all. He sucked as a head coach and lost to teams like UConn, USF, Navy, Army, Air Force, Syracuse and others while clearly having better talent on his roster. He seems bitter and jealous when he criticizes another coach over social media. FYI, his son is an assistant on Ole Miss, so it really isn’t an objective opinion either.
