the Gators—who hadn’t played an out-of-state nonconference game on another school’s campus since visiting Syracuse in 1991—
I’ve been screaming for penn st to make this move and get some of the garbage off the schedule. Get Pitt on the schedule every year and play a team like Auburn or Va Tech. One gimme game a year. Our future schedule is not strong and it will only give the scam CFP committee an excuse to leave us out of the playoffs unless we go undefeated and even that might not get us in just depends on what other team we are fighting against to get in. Pittsburgh being our OOC big game just ain’t going to cut it IMO. I believe if we go undefeated and a team like Oklahoma or Texas has one loss these buttwipes would take them over us. Get some beef on the schedule James Franklin or we ain’t going to ever get any respect!
Is penn st playing Pitt and different than Oklahoma playing Oklahoma state, Bullpups playing Georgia Tech, S. Car playing Clemson or Florida playing Florida State? Maybe Pitt is ripping people off but I would think all these other schools do the same thing to other fan bases. I say don’t go to the game at Pittsburgh and then they’ll stop ripping people off. I always get tickets free if I go except for races. I’ll pay to watch a race live and watch penn st but even though I love the falcons and Georgia Tech I won’t go unless I get the tickets for free. I did pay for a falcons ticket back in 08 because MROB played for SF and I wanted to watch him play and it was worth every dime because he had a pretty good game.
I personally would rather not see the same OOC opponent every year. I could not care less (yes pipe, this is how you use this phrase correctly) about playing Pitt every year. Keep that schedule fresh and different every year. Play the big boys, but move it around!
I agree Murray I’m just saying beating Pittsburgh and Auburn holds a lot of weigh since Pitt plays in the ACC. The Bullpups beating up on the Jackets and beating ND holds a lot of weight because I see Pittsburgh and Ga Tech about the same competition but as long as we get 2 OOC games that’s competition I’d be happy with that.

I wouldn't mind playing Pitt every year if it was a rivalry, but I feel the rivalry has died. It went on life support when we entered the Big Ten, and a few years later the plug was pulled when Pitt razed their stadium to build a Basketball Arena
And the last week of regular season is icing on the cake?
