My folks got their 1st shot, waiting on their 2nd. I'm not quite old enough to get one yet. Even though I'm asthmatic and have high BP, I don't have as big a need as some of the self destructive behaviors we're rewarding in NJ (smokers) and NY (obesity). If you're obese due to a medical condition, fine move to the head of the line, if not wait like all the rest of us.
@been-there-ii: No help from the VA?? I havent even bothered to check into any options just yet.
@tsuga That’s a great point. You guys need to check with the VA. My wife’s uncle went to the VA for something else and saw a line to get the vaccine. Asked if he could get one and had one the following day. No hassle whatsoever for him.
@tsuga/99 Yep, tried the VA, Syracuse anyway. Their response was "We'll call you when it's your turn." Which it's not, I'm only 64. Although I was sitting beside a Vet this morning that said, he brought his father in for his shot and while he was there they asked if he wanted one too. Right place, right time. haha That's not the way my luck runs....and that why I no longer bet on PSU football!
@been-there-ii: Yeah, I figure I'll get a call when its my turn. I dont have a lot of human contact anyway, so unless you can contract it from a moose, eagle or deer, I'm pretty safe.

yup, nothing more than an angry squirrel in Michigan. They really like the sleepovers though.
@tsuga Yep, they've made a comeback outside the Adirondack region. They've been around here just the past 8-10 yrs. Usually see them in the winter, but once saw a sick young one in late Aug.
We thought the same in the great lakes region of Pa. but then noticed it was a pack of misbehaved Chihuahuas in costume. Very disturbing for the unwary though.

@lionbacker99 just like every other vaccine site there is a pecking order. Health care providers and staff first, age and high risk level on down etc.. I was at our VA clinic a week and a half ago for an appointment and they were giving everyone that was being seen the breakdown.

Other than distribution, the government has nothing to do with any of the vaccines. By the way the smallest chip in the world cannot fit through the end of a needle. Take the vaccine, protect others as well as yourself.

BOB, I believe it’s safe to get we’ve got the best people in the world working on this and if it’s more proof it’s safe just look at the politicians that’s got the shot already. Trust ole southern here BOB please get that shot when it’s your turn the shot is much safer than gettin this coronavirus. This virus is some bad chit on some people and some people it doesn’t effect. Why take a chance baby when you can get a vaccine my wife will tell ya she’s going to run and get this shot when she’s able this crap about took her under. Southern here don’t sugarcoat nothing get that shot baby.

Ok, I stand corrected. Apparently my asthma does make me morbid enough to get "the shot". Got the call this morning, going in on Sun aft. Have to wonder is there may be a little extra vaccine up this way due to the weather closing clinics in the southwest.
Some people think it’s the mark of the beast and some people think it’s a way the government can track people lol. This vaccine is to help save lives and this is coming from a JESUS freak so get the shot my brother as fast as you can.
