Is it me or we not missing a beat on offense? This dude Ricky Rahne is the real deal. Y’all remember the tax slayer bowl against Georgia a couple of years ago when he replaced Donavan, we wore Georgia’s defense down when McSorely took over for Hack. We’re in good hands with Rahne calling plays. Really it’s been quite about the job he’s done, it feels like Moorhead is still out there lol

Absolutely, haven't missed a beat yet.

I think people will do the same thing they are doing to McSorley this year. The question of "how will McSorley do without Barkley" will become "how will Rahne do without McSorley"

Roam, I don’t recall ever scoring this many points through the 1st 4 games. These are complete beatings we’re putting on teams.

IF PS is to continue to win games the offense will need to bear the burden. Really not very confident that this defense (currently) has what it takes to stop good offenses from scoring. MLB is a real problem. They have a walk-on converted wrestler backed up by a RS freshman and true freshman. At Sam they have a converted DB and backed up by a true freshman who is a converted DE from HS. Also, when PS lost Rivers to VTech it really did some damage at LB.

I agree mb337, and that's exactly why I've been saying we should just put the freshman in there and let them gain experience.

Farmer is a converted safety, who is a senior. He's not nearly as talented as Parsons, and is also making the same mental mistakes as the freshman. So the question has to be why is he playing? Parsons has a much higher ceiling, and can make up for his mistakes with talent while Farmer can't.

Also, Jan Johnson hasn't shown anything better than Ellis Brooks. So again, why not play the younger and more talented guy and let him learn.

Cam Brown I'm good with at the Sam. But for the life of me I can't figure out what we are doing. The younger guys have more talent, higher ceilings, and are already playing equally as good as the starters. If that's the case (which Franklin said it is), why continue to play the older guys?

I seriously doubt we will see nearly to rotation of young guys for OSU as we've seen in the past four games though.

Don't disagree. I sort of get the feeling that JF is substituting as much because he's looking for some magic combination that just isn't there. There is no substitution for experience. If PS is forced to get into a "pissin" contest because of its defense with teams like OSU, the outcome will not be to our liking!

I think maybe Franklin is looking back to a year ago when they had to go 8 or 9 deep into the roster due to injuries. Not a lot of Soph/Juniors who have had time with the team to rely on so he wants to get the true Frosh mixed in with the veterans to get experience just in case. Maybe?

I think he is just trying to get as many of them playing time as possible so he can get an adequate amount of film on them...I believe he will evaluate the tape and you will see less of a rotation this week and moving forward as he settles in on whichever players he decides give them the best shot of winning...
