Grunk also had a new HC thst wasn't hamstringing the OC with BS micromanagement@the-funeral-director Grunk didn’t have a problem throwing the ball down field and IMO Grunk looks more of a prostyle QB that Allar. AK and the WR’s were never the problem, James Franklin and DA were the 2 problems. If Grunk was able to run the offense then DA should’ve been able to run the offense.
@southern-psu-fan May have, may not have or maybe the coaches would have screwed him up too. We tend to daydream on the positive side or things, doesn't always work out like we hoped.
After hearing what is coming out of the Steelers camp and none of it is complementary of the Penn State coaching staff I am really hopeful that Drew can progress to fulfill his vast potential as a Quarterback...Some of these reports coming out of camp are really alarming regarding his development or shall I say lack thereof and how he was coached at Penn State...You can be the greatest recruiter in the history of the game but if you can't coach and develop the player to max out his God given talent you will never have a winning team...From what I am seeing that is exactly what they had at Penn State regarding the vast majority of their coaching staff and that includes Franklin...I make no secret of the importance of scouting and player development regarding their connections to a program or organizations success...That is what makes me hopeful of this current coaching staff...From all the accounts I am hearing that is what Campbell and this coaching staff is known for...They are great scouts and fantastic at player development...I am excited to see what they do this year...
