AAC is pursuing Army to replace SMU. The AAC has their conference championship game the week before the Army Navy game. What would happen if both Army & Navy play in the AAC championship game?
AAC is pursuing Army to replace SMU. The AAC has their conference championship game the week before the Army Navy game. What would happen if both Army & Navy play in the AAC championship game?
I'd imagine the AAC would change things around if Army joined, move the championship back or the Army/Navy game to the week before the championship?
The Army Navy game is special.
Yeah, but in today's atmosphere I don't think the AAC would want a game between two conference teams played after the conference title game. Not sure that would fly, and if Army and/or Navy wants to keep it at the end then I doubt Army will join the conference.
To me it's special not because of the date, but because of the teams. Just my opinion though, I'm sure others have different ones.
