@psujoe what information do you have Homer? What do you think about Chris Winkie the Ga Tech OC? I’ll Rob Peter to pay Paul lol
Lets stop with the rebuilding and move on to reloading, for the past 10 years its been a rebuild or wait until next year story line; as my dad used to say, if someone is telling you more than a couple times, "you have a lot of potential, it means you haven't done shit, and it's time to move on".
@psu61 fair enough. When you are replacing your starting QB you usually take a step back. You may win the same amount of games but they won’t be as pretty. I said we had a stud team but if the QB is struggling the team will struggle. When the QB is struggling just find a way to win. We did that today. I’m under the Paterno mentality 61, just win the game lol
Alabama replaced their QB and they have gotten better on offense every game. They arent constantly trying to fit a square peg in a round hole, they called plays that fit their QB and have coached him up.@psu61 fair enough. All I see is Franklin forcing his mantra of "establish the run" down everyone's throat with no progression in the passing game at all.
@roaminglion Alabama can blow teams like Indiana off the line of scrimmage regardless of how many is in the box..we can’t. Alabama has got better at QB, we haven’t and this is James Franklin fault because he should’ve never recruited Allar, he doesn’t fit our offense and I’ve said that all year. We’ve made this bed now we have to lay in it. We’ll still win most of our games but every game will be a fight.
This demonstrates you havent watched Alabama play, because you are thinking of Alabama from 5 years ago.@roaminglion Alabama can blow teams like Indiana off the line of scrimmage regardless of how many is in the box..we can’t. Alabama's OL was a major problem last year, and they arent that great this year either. They are a weakspot, not a strength. Milroe is just a beast LB playing QB
@roaminglion I hear Nick Saban complaining all the time about the OL that’s why I always say all teams have OL problems but I assure you, Alabama can blow UMASS, Delaware, Maryland, Illinois and Indiana defensive line out of the stadium with the box stacked. Alabama will not have trouble driving these teams in the ground and you know it.
Yet they couldn't score or move the ball consistently againt USF, a mediocre at best AAC team. Sure racked up some yards at the end, but please. They gave up like 6-7 sacks too.@roaminglion I hear Nick Saban complaining all the time about the OL that’s why I always say all teams have OL problems but I assure you, Alabama can blow UMASS, Delaware, Maryland, Illinois and Indiana defensive line out of the stadium with the box stacked. Stop just seeing the name across the chest.
@roaminglion A good indicator of that is the blue-chip percentage (number of 4- and 5-star recruits on your roster divided by total scholarship players). For Texas, it’s a very respectable 61 percent. That’s the most in the current Big 12 by a decent margin. Alabama, meanwhile, sits at just under 90 percent, with 76 of their 85 scholarship players checking in as former blue-chippers. Not surprisingly, that puts them near the top of the country with Georgia and Ohio State.
Give me a break Roam! I can always look at the name across the jersey when a team has this roster. If you don’t believe Alabama can block Indiana go ahead. James Franklin does a great job recruiting but it’s insane to put him up there with Alabama, Georgia and Ohio St he doesn’t have that luxury. Stars matter rather y’all want to believe it or not.
Well if stars matter why do you want to replace our 5* QB with a 3* QB?
@the-funeral-director I don’t, I just want him in on some running plays to give the defense something else to worry about. I said today I believe Allar gives us the best chance to win. Best players play I don’t care what star they are. But just look at the NC’s the SEC wins and there’s a shit pot full of stars on their teams FD.
They couldnt block USF, so what you just ignore that and talk about recruiting stars?@roaminglion A good indicator of that is the blue-chip percentage (number of 4- and 5-star recruits on your roster divided by total scholarship players). Basically you just said: "I dont care about what a team actual does, I only care about what their players were ranked before thry got to college"
Well, umm... good for you. I'll watch the games and rate Alabama's line by how they block... not what the players were ranked in high school
@roaminglion I’m talking about Alabama in this post and I do watch the game but whatever.
^^^
WEll you don't pay attention to the game then but whatever@roaminglion I’m talking about Alabama in this post and I do watch the game but whatever.
